"Optical fibers first, and 5G next" - What does it mean?
Do you know: "How Much Fiber Optics is Deployed in running the 5G Mobile and Wireless Communication Systems Worldwide?"
In India, for example, the monthly average of optical fiber laid increased sixfold after the introduction of 5G services, reaching 101,550 kilometers per month, compared to just 16,712 kilometers before the 5G rollout.
6G is upcoming, and it will need more optical fibers.
This surge reflects the global trend of investing in fiber infrastructure to support 5G deployment, as fiber is considered indispensable for realizing the full potential of 5G networks.
The other day, I was discussing with an expert on 6G standards, who agreed that optical fiber networks are indispensable device infrastructures to run the mobile wireless communication systems.
