AI is Not Mandatory, But Optional

AI is Not Mandatory, But Optional

By Debesh Choudhury | TechFuture | 8 Jul 2025

You (I and we) like AI.

  • Your and our liking for AI is normal.

  • Yes, it is quite normal that people will like a new technological tool.

  • Do you know what is not normal?

It is not normal that big tech corporations and most government departments are trying to make AI a mandatory technological tool for almost everything.

  • A narrative spreads as if AI is like oxygen to modern life.

It would be ridiculous to promote and push AI everywhere.

Learn and test AI tools.

  • Go ahead, like new technologies, learn and test them.

Don't hesitate to like, learn, and test AI technology and various AI tools that appeal to you.

  • It is quite a smart move to learn and test new technologies.

  • Do you know what is not smart?

It won't be a smart move to get addicted to a new technology.

Learn AI, but don't love it too and make it an addiction.

AI literacy is essential.

  • We must be fully aware of the technology we wish to adopt and adapt.

  • We must educate ourselves on AI technology and its pros and cons.

  • Please, find ways to use AI privately.

We must clearly understand "Where and when to use AI technology tools."

  • AI assists human intelligence but does not replace it.

Humans should dictate AI, not the other way around.

We must realize that AI should not be made mandatory, but keep it as optional.

  • AI is an awesome technological tool.

  • We, the enthusiasts of technology, must learn AI.

  • Technologists should test AI to find useful applications.

  • People must educate themselves about AI technology and its pros and cons.

We must remember that AI is not mandatory, but optional.
