I keep seeing the term "AI agents" everywhere lately. On Twitter, in YouTube videos, even in random Telegram groups. And honestly, at first I didn't get it. I thought it was just another buzzword. But after looking into it, I realized it's actually a big deal.
So what is an AI agent? Basically, it's an AI that doesn't just answer questions. It actually does things. It can browse the web, send emails, book appointments, write code. You give it a goal, and it figures out the steps to get there. That's different from what we had before. ChatGPT answers questions. An AI agent takes actions.
Why does this matter for crypto? Because a lot of crypto projects are now building AI agents that can trade, manage portfolios, or interact with smart contracts. Some of them are actually pretty interesting. Others are just hype with a fancy name.
I remember the first time I tried one of these. I asked it to summarize a long article for me. It did it in seconds. Then I asked it to find similar articles online and send me the links. It did that too. I was honestly impressed. But then I tried something more complex, and it failed completely. So yeah, they're not magic. But they're getting better fast.
I don't know which ones will survive. Nobody does. But I do know that this is where the smart money is looking right now. And if you're in crypto, it's worth paying attention to.
I'm not saying go buy every AI agent coin you see. That's a terrible idea. But I am saying don't ignore this trend. It's probably going to be around for a while.
