Don't memorize a broken heart.

I'm not a medical/psychological professional, just a simple article-writer.

The ways we, as people, deal with pain can vary.

Not only are there those who drink or eat more than normal to cope, but there are different methods of pain management which can include

  • finding hobbies
  • exercising
  • journaling
  • crying
  • socializing
  • make a list of what you're thankful for
  • meditation

In terms of emotional pain, specifically inflicted on us by someone else, what do you tend to remember?

If you remember properly, then you'll remember how this person did you wrong and how you'll never let it happen again.

If you forget it, however- If you suppress your pain into forgetting it, you'll forget the monster who did what they did to you and focus on the pain you endured.

Don't do that.

"Forgive and forget" unless that person has caused you irreparable emotional damage.
This way you are not blind to any other attempt they may make.
Or an attempt anyone else may make, for that matter.

You are in control of your life. Never let that be anyone else's job.

Do not just remember a broken heart-
Remember the monster who broke it.

Live life in the moment- if not, you're burning time quicker than deflationary tokens burn themselves.
