From Rags to Riches or in other words how I'm progressing to becoming a Starbits Millionaire!

As a quick summary, I started in RisingStar in May 2021 but just drifted with it till I started blogging about RisingStar at the end of August 2021 and decided to chart my progress to becoming a Starbits Millionaire.

It's not rocket science but in short what is the quest - the quest is to bank 1,000,000 starbits and get the Starbits Millionaire Card! Primarily as a free to play player but if I find a pocket of crypto floating around I might just speed up the process too!

Metrics

A bit of a change with a new set of information to my metrics as I'll explain below:

Lets start with the basics

- Missions completed - I managed to do 65 missions this week. Fairly consistent.

- Cards owned - Change from 24/34 cards to 27/37 cards as I got a pack I wasn't expecting as I passed the 1000 mission mark!

- Starbits - In game an increase of about 19,000 - I did withdraw to zero early on in the week as I decided to take a risk as I'll detail below.

- Skill/Fans/Ego - Still managing to keep this ratio in check so that's good as there's no impact on my earnings due to ego yet.

- Level 57 - Still averaging around two levels a week.

Diesel Pool & Hive Pizza/Starbits Balances

- I decided to take a risk and become an investment banker on the side and provide liquidity to the Pizza/Starbits pool. There is some risk if the prices change a lot but I figured it would be better to have some of the saved up Starbits working for me. It did take an additional investment of about 90 hive which came about from posts I've done which have accumulated over time, a profit from buying/selling HBD at one point and some excess from funds I transferred in from the miners to Hive to invest in DCrops. That investment bought the pizza to match up with the about 200,000 starbits I had saved to put into the pool. The excess swap.hive I had left I just converted to some starbits and left in the hive engine for now.

- I've done a sheet that basically tracks the approximate of the Pizza/Starbits pool and the starbits and pizza I have on the Hive Engine to estimate a value I have there which is currently around 400k starbits. So with that investment and what I've earned I'm closing in on half way!

- There is some risk here but I think the reward will be worth it. It has been weighing on my mind that the starbits being saved up were not earning anything so this is one way they can. Every little bit helps!

Current Strategy and considerations

Still no change in strategy at this time - that is Headline Acts plus Music Lesson plus fillers (i.e. Radio Interview), refill with Pizza and repeat. Also use a pizza to refill if its about time to catch some ZZZ's so I can do a Headline act overnight as well. This week I did consider doing more Interviews/Illegal Busking as the could be more profitable but between trying that and some bad RNG my rate didn't change much.

The pool will help - I'll see how it goes over the next week or so and if it looks like it's not rewarding much I'll liquidate and just have starbits gathering dust...
