Where have I been?
Before we get started - a quick word - It's been about about two months since my last post. It's the usual, life gets busy, the bear market doesn't help the motivation etc etc etc. It's already December and I think it's time to get back to posting and what better way to start with a new program I've been trying. I'll write again soon to sum up the various other platforms I've been in too (that way I have a reason to post again already!).
The new program - Miningblocks.club
First things first, as always, if any of this interests you please use my referral code to get started:
Mining Blocks Club - virtual mining game
Right - with that out of the way, this is a program that I find is quite reminiscent of Rollercoin. In their own words:
"MINING BLOCKS ITS A MINING SIMULATOR WHERE YOU CAN MINE COINS OR ALSO BE A POOL OWNER SO YOU CAN EARN A FEE FOR EVERY BLOCK MINED"
Now I don't know why they "shout" that out on their website but it pretty much sums it up.
The Basics
Signing up is easy and once you do it takes you to the dashboard.
On the dashboard you'll see two tasks which basically get you started:

The game gives you a "space module", a "power module" and a "starter miner".
You equip these from your inventory page (or via the "click here" prompt on the dashboard under tasks to start mining).
Once you have done that you select a "mining" pool to join and start mining.

The pool system is a bit like joining a real world mining pool. The various pools are "competing" for a "block reward" of a specific coin. Every 30 minutes the winning pool for each type of coin gets the reward which is split between the participants based on their power.
Point to note - there are two strategies, be in a small pool with a low fee to get a larger reward or join a larger pool that may have a larger fee but more chance to win each block.
An interesting feature of the site is that you can actually create your own pool, charge your own fee and thus earn more that way. I'm not a big player so I haven't looked much into this feature but it is interesting nonetheless.
It is also important to note that you can't split your power and thus can only earn one type of coin at a time.
The coins supported are the native "block" coin, TRX, XTZ, RDD, DOGE, ADA and LTC. Maybe they'll add more maybe not but its a reasonable spread.
The BLOCK coin
The native coin is called "BLOCK". Now why would you earn this rather than a more useful withdrawable coin? Well it does enable you to buy miners and supplies (power/space) from the default market rather than the user market place. I would suggest this is where most people start. Build up the block, build up miners and get some decent power before starting to earn other coins for withdrawal.
Block is also needed to upgrade & craft miners. As far as I know each miner can be upgraded 10 times. This can increase your power quite quickly though it does cost
The Game as I see it
So at this point it feels like a good time to recap & go over the mechanics as I see it.
1 - Set up your account
2 - Load up your miner, Power it up, Join a mining pool and start mining Block.
3 - With the block you earn, upgrade your space, power and away you go.
Seems simple enough.
How much you can earn, that remains to be seen.
I'll do more posts on the site as I get into it but one thing of note:
Christmas Event
Till the end of December they are running a christmas event whereby you earn "event tokens" from the faucet (its a small chance but great when you get one). If you manage to get to 30 (you can also buy them off the market) you can, if you have 1.5 block to spend, buy a special event miner which is very powerful and at base level doesn't use any power or space!
That's probably enough for an initial introductory post.
If this sounds like it could be of interest to you, give it a go - preferably with my referral code but feel free to just go to the site and sign up anyways!
