What if Tupac was an NFT???

Consider the following: What if Tupac himself was an NFT??? Could we have saved him??

Just kidding, of course not. Tupac would’ve been much too famous by now. I’m just trying to imagine what kind of an NFT it would be. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that:

a) we would probably have to spend at least $1,000,000 to build him on any network;

b) Tupac the NFT would need to be available for any user to buy at any time, so there would be a lot of duplication in his design.

So how much would the average person be willing to pay to own a piece of Tupac if he were a physical NFT? If you’re like me and think the average person is more of a sucker than you’d like to admit, consider that the highest bid on some real world NFTs is currently on eBay at about $10,000. That’s pretty good for a 6-foot man who happens to be famous. I’d say that, in the right hands, the price for Tupac as an NFT could have gone even higher.

It could be argued that he could always be downloaded, so the fact that he can be downloaded doesn’t make him any less of an NFT. But why would you want to download him when you could own him?

I like his look.

I like the way his look reminds me of my dog.

If he was an NFT, would I keep him? Absolutely.

Of course, I could’ve just downloaded him from the web site where he’s advertised for sale. Then I could’ve put him on my desk, sat down and, with a touch of a button, had the whole thing play out in front of me. I could have watched him move, talked to him, even eaten him (it’s legal in California) with just the turn of a key. He’s just a cut above your regular jib.
