Inevitable Fate Of Crypto Based Social media

I'm sure you have definitely come across at least one crypto based social media platform. The main theme for them is "empowering creators". They claim they go beyond traditional centralized social media platforms and pay creators more than traditional ones do. It's great and all. But there's a problem. That is, they are destined to fail.

You see, the problem is how money is made to pay creators. In traditional social media, they get money from advertisers. So as long as there are advertisers, there is money. There's a sustainable flow of money. But in most cases crypto crypto-based social media does not rely on advertisers. Instead, they rely on investors and newcomers.

First, you create a token. Then you build your platform around that. Then you ask investors to invest in your token, promising them that they can make money off of it. Now you go out your way to gather creators. Your promise is a reward from the community. When creators create quality content, the community rewards them by upvoting their post. In the traditional setting, an upvote is just an upvote to encourage you to make more. But on a crypto-based platform, an upvote is also a monetary reward.

How is that possible? That is possible because in the system they make there are several different tokens. One is for trading, and another token that is locked up corresponds to the social influence you have. In simple words, when you have more influential tokens, your upvote has more monetary value. So there's a catch. If you don't have a sufficient amount of influential tokens, your upvote means nothing. To have a great impact on the community, you're gonna have to buy these influential tokens.

So where do you buy them? The correct question should be From whom do you buy them? You have to buy them from early investors. That means for investors to succeed, they need newcomers. The more the better. You see, it's a clever pyramid scheme. Sadly, pyramid schemes are destined to fail. Only early adopters make a significant amount of money. "Empower creators" is a great phrase, but in reality, only whales and creators of the project make money.

Not only that, you have to know that inside these platforms, there is some shady stuff going on. Some people farm tokens. Rich accounts only upvote certain people's content. Some people sell their upvotes. Big players attack criticism by downvoting, so those critics' accounts get destroyed. Also, the Decentralization these platforms promise is just a big fat lie. They are very well-structured, centralized systems to suck the lifeblood out of desperate people who look for an easy way out.

That's it, guys. Educate yourself and never get cheated on. never get lied on. learn to identify scams right when you see them.

bye guys. Stay safe.
