I think 11.11 Sale Is A Gimmick To Make You Spend More Money

Confused Online Shopper

11th of November every year most of the online shopping websites advertise that they will give you up to 75% off as a discount. This sale is known as the 11.11 sale. But do they actually give you 75% off discounts or is it just a gimmick to make you spend more money on that day? Let me tell you my experience.

I wanted to buy me a new soldering iron. So I checked a few local shopping websites and found one for 1500. But I didn't buy it at that time because I wanted to get a discount on the big 11.11 sale. So I waited till November 11, 2023, and searched for the same soldering iron. Can you guess what I saw? I saw they have increased its price up to 4500 and they have crossed the 4500 with a line and next to it there was a simple message. It said 75% off today. Pay only 1500 and get this item. I remembered it was actually 1500 in the first place when I checked in the last month. So this 75% off 11.11 sale on this website is a huge lie. ( note that I'm talking about this according to my experience and don't know if there were any actual 75% off discounts.) If you ask me I'd say that there were no real 75% off discounts. There were fake discounts only. If you think about it there is no one that likes to get a huge loss on profit. So what are your experiences? Please let me know in the comments below.
