When I was browsing the internet, by chance I came across a website that had a post about a YouTube contest they are organizing. the prize for the winner is 100 dollars. you might think I'm skeptical about this contest because it could be a scam. But no that's not the reason. It's ridiculous because of how hard it is to win and the benefits they get from this contest.
Let me tell you why
In this contest, you have to identify all the species in the video. The video is over one and half hours long. And guess what? you need to identify each and every species in this video correctly in order to win. If you ask me I would say, this is not a contest for you to win money but a tactic for the channel to bump up their view hours.
I must say this is a clever tactic to grow their channel. even if they pay someone who guesses all the species correctly (which is highly unlikely), the channel gets more benefits because people have to watch a video they would normally watch by jumping into sections and fast-forwarding it. But because you need to win that 100$ so badly you gonna have to not miss a second of that video. Think how much watch-time they gonna collect from this tactic. also not to mention the ad money. again I must say this is clever. but I believe this is so unfair to viewers because they are the ones going to
judge too. For 100$ you have to watch a video you would normally fast forward without missing a second of it. Thanks. But no, I don't think I will be participating in this competition which I think is clearly a money grab tactic.
(FYI: I'm just expressing my opinion. no offense intended.)
