In 2011, Anatoly Moskvin was arrested after 26 dolls were found in his apartment.There weren't ordinary dolls though, they were recently deceased little girls that he had dug up, mummified, and dressed up.
Witnesses said:

"We saw these dolls but we did not suspect there were dead bodies inside. We thought it was his hobby to make such big dolls and did not see anything wrong with it."

Video released by police on their website shows the dolls seated on shelves or sofas, in small rooms stacked with books and papers. No actual bones are apparent in the footage and some of the faces are covered by masks. While roaming from cemetery to cemetery he used to say:“I don’t think anyone in the city knows them better than I do”. 

His parents thought he collected vintage dolls.
