There has been an influx of #BitrueVictims posts on twitter about Bitrue and its CEO Curis Wang locking its users assets. Postings show from either user's not being able to access old emails to Bitrue locking the accounts for security reasons. The number one factor in the surge of Bitrue issues stems from the lack of customer support. Not answering emails for months sometimes a year if at all in some cases. Using Bitrue is enticing in the fact that you can earn a boat load of interest in about 20 popular coins....but is it too dangerous to use in recent events?
Bitrue Is Trending But Not In A Good Way.
There has been a major influx in Twitter postings about Bitrue and not in a good way. They are apparently (at times on random) locking users accounts. Many of which no longer have acess to old emails. Some have had security breaches with their emails to certain degree. With proper customer service these can be taken care of quite efficiently. However Bitrue seems to be severely lacking in that department that several agencies have gotten involved such as XRP Forensics and Coinfirm on behalf of users alienated by Bitrue.
I Am Also A Victim.
A little while ago I wrote how I was a victim of a sim swap that T-mobile authorized (Read Here) and suffered damages from their actions of .013 BTC as the criminal drained my account. Sad true but I was able to get Bitrue to lock my account prior to unauthorized access. I thought it was a good idea at the time and was able to stop further losses. They told me all I needed to do was contact them once I secured everything to unlock my account so I can move my funds. That was about a year ago and have been emailing almost daily to no avail I have not received a reply. So I am writing this in hopes that everyone avoids Bitrue.
After sending multiple emails replying to "John" with information needed to unlock my account. With picture of me with ID and Information written on paper yet my account is still locked and I keep sending emails to them all on deaf ears. Word of advice is do not use them for anything. Until they change.
So far my total crypto loss exceeds $16,000 USD as of writing this. Mistakes were made in me trusting Tmobile, Coinbase, Yahoo and Bitrue.
