The purpose of investing with a robo is the ease of use and simplicity without having to pay high fees. Robo investing would usually help new investors to get onboard by simplifying the steps to start investing. With the rise of robs-advisors across countries, Syfe was launched in July 2019 and have been extremely popular with retail investors in Singapore.
How To Get Started
If Syfe is available in your country, you can easily onboard with their simple instructions. Do remember to always use a referral code for 3-6 months fee waiver depending on what promo that they have. After creating your Syfe account, you can add variety of different risk level of portfolios. Then you can add funds from your local bank to the portfolio you’ve chosen.
How Are The Fees Calculated
The fees ranges from 0.65%-0.4% depending on the size of your individual portfolio. Personally, I feel that the fees aren’t high and it’d still be affordable in the long run. For more information, you can visit https://www.syfe.com/wealth/pricing.
What Are The Portfolios Available?
Syfe has Cash +, Reits, Core Defensive to Equity for the non-risky portfolios. They’ve recently launched thematic portfolios as well which includes ESG Clean Energy, Disruptive Technology, Healthcare Innovation(Genomic), China Growth and Global Income. Thematic portfolios are riskier portfolios which may have higher yield. Their recommendation would be holding 70% of Syfe of non-risky assets and 30% of thematic assets. However, you may still personalise it however you want.

Thematic Portfolios
Thematic portfolios give exposure to volatile growth oriented ETFs such as ARKK, META, and other potential china ETFs. These ETFs would then hold stocks that may seem to be speculative yet also potentially disruptive technology assets like Palantir, Teladoc, etc that could 10x in years to come. New investors who wants to get exposed to such high risk assets could just diversify their thematic portfolio with different of these ETFs.

What Do I Think Of Syfe?
Personally, I’ve used it for a year and I feel that the product is very suitable for both new and veteran investors. Syfe have always been updating their ETFs and portfolios consistently. They have a flexible selection of portfolios where investors could personalise and select however they want their investments to be like. With their low management fees, it wouldn’t eat much into investors’ profits in the long run. New investors could learn and research more on individual ETFs like ARKK by CW looking from the big picture. Anyways! Do checkout my referral for Syfe if you plan to sign up! It's free gifts anyways!
