StealthEX & Neblio AMA Session

The AMA Recap: StealthEX & Neblio

By StealthEX | StealthEX Blog | 8 Jun 2021

On June 3rd we had StealthEX & Neblio AMA Session in our Telegram Community Chat

The AMA was attended by:

  • Maria, CMO of StealthEX
  • Eddy Smith, Neblio Co-Founder and Lead Developer

What are the major challenges of NEBL and how do you intend to solve them?
Our goal from the beginning has been to build a blockchain platform that is both accessible to developers, and end-users. Many other platforms pick one, or the other. They make things simple for developers, but not users, or the opposite.

At Neblio we strive to make things as simple as possible for developers with things like APIs in all of the most popular programming languages, so that developers do not have to learn a brand new language just to use the platform. At the same time, we work on technology that makes Neblio simpler for users, things like QuickSync, easy NTP1 metadata creation in Orion, and the ability to issue a new NTP1 token in 2 clicks without any code required.

We still have a lot to do in this area and are always looking to further simplify Neblio, and blockchain, for everyone!

How do you plan to integrate the Chainlink partnership into Neblio?
Great question! Chainlink's oracle technology is brilliant and extremely useful for certain blockchain applications. I do not believe any of the apps built on Neblio today use Chainlink's oracles, but I would encourage anyone that has a need for oracles in a Neblio app to get in contact with the Neblio Team. Thanks to our partnership with Chainlink, we would work with those developers directly to integrate Chainlink's oracle data into their application.

What's the plan to attract new enterprises, devs,.. in case of a bearmarket?
As anyone that has been in our community for a while will agree with, we generally do not let the market, bear or bull, change our plans. Once we have a plan, if it is working, we stick to it.

Lately, our plan to attract new developers and companies is 3-fold: Some of our team will do B2B (business to business) outreach to companies that we believe our technology can help. Some of this is direct outreach and some of it is via our excellent partner network.

Additionally, we have some excellent members of our team focussing on promoting Neblio to the general public via educational pieces on social media, youtube, etc. These tell people what Neblio is all about, what type of apps are best suited for Neblio, and how they can get started building.

Lastly, we have a growing network of 3rd-party developers and partners that are really showing off what Neblio is capable of. People like Fyziktom (Tomas), Historia, and others are all showing the world what can be built on Neblio and this is extremely valuable to attract new developers and companies into the Neblio ecosystem.

How important is the relationship between the Neblio team and the Neblio community,  and how do you see that being promoted and maintained into the future?
The community Neblio has is extremely valuable. Many of the core community members have been with us since the beginning way back in summer of 2017. I often say we have 2 teams: A small core team, but then a huge extended team of community members that help manage all of our social channels, promote Neblio in blockchain and crypto communities, and help educate new users and developers.

The entire community that has been built up around Neblio DevCentral has been amazing, and multiple Neblio projects have come out of that community, with many more in progress I believe. We have the best community in blockchain, for sure.

What will the team be focusing on in the coming years?
Our primary focus will always be maintaining and updating both the core protocol and tools that help developers and users use that protocol. Updates that make it easier for users and developers to use what we have built are always top priority.

Secondary to that, is promoting Neblio for 3rd party developers. The more that gets built on top of Neblio by 3rd parties, the better. 2021 has seen a huge surge in 3rd party Neblio development and we want to continue and accelerate that. We want as many 3rd party developers as possible in the Neblio ecosystem!

Is Neblio available for the global people or it’s limited for some areas? If it’s globally available are you guys planning to introduce it globally?
Our goal is to make Neblio usable to all users and developers world-wide. We aren't aware of any restrictions that prevent blockchain development in any specific country but of course always check your local regulations.

As an individual user, in what ways can I contribute to the development of Neblio? Do you have Ambassador programs and what are its benefits?
Nearly all Neblio tools and software are open source, simply visit https://github.com/NeblioTeam to see all of the code repos we have. There is something for every developer to contribute to! If you need some guidance feel free to reach out to our team, we're always looking for new developers to help out!

What are the advantages of Neblio to compete with competitors of the same side?
Simplicity. Simplicity. Simplicity. Anyone can issue a token, NFT, etc on Neblio without any code required. Developers can build apps on Neblio without needing to learn a new language. Other platforms make all of this extremely difficult, Neblio makes it simple.

Currently from where I can buy $Neblio? Is it possible that I can get $Neblio only by holding it?
StealthEX would be a great choice I think ;) And once you have NEBL, you can stake that NEBL to help run the Neblio network, earning more NEBL as stake rewards.

Everyone cares about the real-life application of the project, What are the most prominent applications of Neblio ?
Tokenizing real-world items and assets. Tokenizing digital assets (including NFTs) for use in gaming or otherwise. And the logging of immutable data on-chain are the 3 areas where Neblio excels vs competitors and is seeing the most use today. I expect these use cases will continue to expand over time.

I am a professional vulnerability finder on the web, do you think Your system is secure enough from hackers? Does your project have a program that rewards individual vulnerability detection of the system??
Yes, and yes we do. We work with security researchers regularly to find and fix vulnerabilities. We reward researchers for working with us. You can find details of the program in the README of our main GitHub repo.

Currently, NFT is very hot, do you think you will apply NFT technology to your products in the future?
You could make NFTs on Neblio before NFTs were cool 😎

We're doing a lot of work in this area and 3rd party developers in the Neblio ecosystem are expanding NFT use cases on Neblio every day. Stay tuned!

Where does the project name come from? What does it mean for you and why did you choose that name for your project?
Neblio is a loose play on the word "Nebula". I used to be into amateur astronomy and everyone in the blockchain community loves space-themes!

Revenue and adoption are the main points of all projects, can you tell us your Business model and how you generate revenue?
We have a Neblio Services & Consulting team that does development and consulting for outside parties. We see this team as our main revenue driver going forward and have plans for expansion in the future.

Tokens from all projects have main utility & practical goals! So can you tell us what the main role of Neblio is in your ecosystem? Explain the utility & use cases in the real world?
If I understand the question, NEBL is used for gas to transact and use the Neblio blockchain platform!

Is my personal data safe on the Neblio? Is Neblio data security technology completely safe for customers?
Data stored on-chain can be end-to-end encrypted with a single click thanks to Neblio's NTP1 metadata encryption!

How can I get the kNeblio token that you recently released with knit finance? Which other major exchanges can I buy Neblio apart from the ones we know?
Stay tuned for developments from Knit on this. You will be able to deposit NEBL to their bridge and get kNEBL on the chain of your choice (Ethereum, BSC, Matic, etc). The development on their side is not quite ready yet.

How decentralized is Neblio? Aren't the APIs on a central server?
The APIs talk to one of 8 servers, which get their data from a Neblio node. The API servers could technically talk to any of the thousands of decentralized nodes worldwide. The API servers simply process and format the data responses properly and much of the data can be gathered by a local Neblio node on your own computer!

Is bringing Neblio to Binance US an option?
That's a question for them, but I'd assume they would do so if there was enough demand!

How will Neblio handle 4 big problems of blockchain: security, speed, scalability and interoperability?
We've got the first 3 covered on our own and are making partnerships, as the one recently announced with Knit Finance, in an attempt to solve interoperability with other chains.

Currently, there are many projects sprouting up strongly, so why should we choose Neblio and not other projects? What are the strengths of Neblio?
Many newer projects are made of nothing but dreams and words on a whitepaper. Neblio started with a functioning mainnet on day 1, nearly 4 years ago. New projects and competition is great and is how we move the industry forward, but development is more important than lofty promises imo.

Are you currently consulting any outside parties? How many have you seen contact you?
We've had many inbound queries, as well as inbound requests for quotes from partners. Many of these projects are confidential until release so we cannot comment on any of them specifically but we have been very excited with the demand for our services.

How many people are in your team? Is Ann still there?
Core team of 4, including myself and Ann, and the huge expanded team from the community as mentioned earlier!

Thanking everyone who had joined and, of course, Eddy Smith for all the awesome answers.
