G'day everyone,
Well, the dust is settling after Federal Election Day 2025, and it’s time to look back at the final push – Week 4 of the Auspol Engage2Earn initiative on Bulb. This was our community effort to boost helpful online content and earn $AUSPOL during the campaign.
Week 4 Engage2Earn Snapshot: A Tough Finish
Let's cut to the chase: Week 4 was a fizzer for our specific Engage2Earn missions. We ran four missions targeting various content in the crucial final week of the campaign, and unfortunately, all four failed to meet their engagement targets.
- Total $AUSPOL Unlocked for Week 4: 0
- Success Rate: 0%
This was a significant drop even from Week 3 (which saw 11M $AUSPOL unlocked and a 25% success rate). It seems the intensity of the final election week meant focus shifted away from these specific E2E tasks, likely due to election overload or campaign burnout.
BUT... The Big News: Labor Wins the Election!
While our E2E scoreboard for Week 4 was grim, the main event delivered a huge result! News reports confirm Anthony Albanese's Labor Party won re-election with a majority government. It's an historic win, making Albo the first PM returned for a second term in over 20 years. Adding to the drama, Liberal leader Peter Dutton conceded defeat and lost his own seat of Dickson!3 Cost of living and housing were key issues in a campaign also influenced by global political uncertainty.
MAGA Setback, But Vigilance Needed
For many concerned about the creep of divisive MAGA-style politics into Australia, this election result feels like a positive step. Labor's win and Dutton's defeat are significant setbacks for those pushing that brand of politics here. However, as discussed in the full post, the ideologies behind it haven't vanished. We need ongoing vigilance to counter misinformation and keep our political discourse grounded in facts and fairness.
Election E2E Campaign Wraps Up
As planned, our intensive multi-week Engage2Earn campaign focused on the election is now concluding. A massive thank you to everyone who participated over the four weeks! Despite the final week's results, the community unlocked a total of 66 Million $AUSPOL across the campaign – a solid effort!
What's Next? The Fight Continues!
The election might be over, but the work to maintain a healthy democracy isn't. While this phase of Engage2Earn is ending, stay tuned! We're already planning new post-election challenges and missions focused on keeping Australia MAGA-free and promoting informed debate on the issues ahead.
