I believe every citizen in every country should be free and expect freedom since birth. Julian Assange has been accused of spying and may be extradited to the U.S. He founded Wikileaks in 2006 and has been persecuted ever since, he put out documents which exposed war crimes that the U.S committed .Whether you are from the U.S or not you should still care for the outcome of the situation. You as an avid reader of articles, and as a person who appreciates journalists' work should be aware of this situation. The result of the situation could determine the future of journalism. Journalists may choose not to do any articles on certain topics anymore especially when it comes to the topic of governmental agencies. If you are a believer of freedom of speech then you should at least have an educated opinion on this matter and take action whether you like him or not. Freedom of Speech is and should be a right for everyone as long as it doesnt threaten national security. The documents he leaked only highlighted crimes of war and did not threaten national security. Will you let journalism be censored? Julian Assange is facing a 175 year sentence if extradited and found guilty.
