The football associations of Portugal and Luxembourg were denied appeals in the case of Ukraine’s Junior Moraes, the UAF President Andrei Pavelko said on his Facebook page.

Portugal and Luxembourg believed that Ukraine had violated the rules of naturalization in the case of Moraes, and therefore should have received two technical defeats. UEFA rejected their protests, but the associations appealed.

Recall, with Portugal, the Shevchenko's team on the road played 0:0, and Luxembourg away beat 2:1.

In matches against Serbia (5:0) and Luxembourg (1:0), Moraes did not play for the Ukrainian team because of broken ribs.
