The SuperBowl Is Finally Here! My Pick To Win Is...........

The NFL's biggest game of the year is about to take place and on paper this looks to be a great game.  The San Francisco 49ers vs The Kansas City Chiefs.  Two teams that were picked by few to get this far but yet here they are and I'm excited so here's quick breakdown.

49ers: They have one of the most high energy, high impact defenses I've seen in quite some time.  Speed, power, and physicality exist in all three levels of their defense.  Bosa was just voted rookie of the year, Dee Ford is a force, and Richard Sherman headlines the secondary.  Expect all three to make plays.  Jimmy Garrapolo is on the brink of having 3 Superbowl rings(2 as a backup QB with Patriots) with this one possibly being his first as a starter.  Many have speculated if he can carry his team, but he's already answered that question earlier in the season over a 4 to 5 game stretch in case some forgot when the team was missing a lotta starters.  In these playoffs he's been able to relax as the 49ers running game has dominated even more than it did during the regular season so I have no knocks on him only throwing 8 passes last game.  Thats actually a luxury most teams don't have and definitely one the Chiefs don't have in this game.  Kittle, Sanders, Juszczyk, and rookie Debo Samuel along with a trio of running backs makes this offense more deadly than most care to admit.  In my opinion, they 49ers are the most complete team in this matchup and the league.

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm since becoming the starter for the Chiefs.  High football IQ and a cannon arm that can make all the throws and occasional left handed throw when needed.  I'm not gonna go into the stats, but lets just say he's thrown for a ton of yards the last couple years and he's throwing to a track team of receivers in Hill, Hardman, and Watkins.  I'd say they are the toughest cover for any secondary since "The Greatest Show On Turf" St.Louis Rams teams from 99' - 01'.  The Chiefs backfield of Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy(might play in the Superbowl if healthy) being the main two can produce, but the Chiefs are primarily a passing team so we'll see if they can help to balance things out on offense to help Mahomes.  The Chiefs defense has been underrated all season if you ask me.  Yes the offense can score a lotta points, but there were games where they did their job well and dominated so don't be fooled just because they haven't been glorified in the media spotlight this season.  Overall, the Chiefs will go as Mahomes goes, but in the big game of the Superbowl, there's always a surprise player or two.

My pick: 49ers 27-20.  The 49ers offensive line has enabled the run game to flourish in ways similar to the Dallas Cowboys of the 90's. Their defensive front is relentless and it I believe it will prove to be enough to help what I think will be a nervous Jimmy G in the first biggest game of his career.  Enjoy the game!!!
