The NFT trading card game  runs on the hive blockchain and has its own community driven tokenized blogging platform splintertalk. What is splinterlands?

Can you remember Magic the Gathering or are you from the newer generation playing Yugioh and Pokemon? Do you know Blizzards Hearthstone?

Splinterlands is a digital trading card game where each card is an NFT and entirely owned by the players. You can buy, sell or even rent your in game assets from or to other players. This does mean if you buy a pack of cards you get 5 NFTs directly linked to your account and you can decide what to do with those cards.

The cards are categorized by rarity and by splinter. There are 7 different splinters or elements: fire, water, earth, life, death, dragon and neutral.

Each splinter has its own monsters with different abilities and strengths and weaknesses. The monster can be summoned with so called Summoner cards. Each splinter has their own summoners. Each summoner can only summon his own and neutral splinters. Exception is the dragon splinter that can combine dragon cards with one other splinter and the neutral splinter. The cards can come with a normal or with a gold foil. Gold foil cards are more scarce and therefore worth more.

Well playing with digital cards is not everyones thing right? But what if I told you that you can earn chrypto by playing this game? What if I told you that they listed a governance token on the Binance smart chain and pay those tokens to their players each day for the next 328 days?
This is what I got dropped by the game in the past 37 days.

Well how about this? 

Yes the game has awarded over 350k in crypto to their players and that is not all. 
Every 16 days a new season starts and you can claim the rewards you earned from the last season in form of loot chests.
These lootchests can contain NFTs in form of cards or potions you can use when opening packs or the in game currency named Dark Energy Chrytals. 

These rewards can add up to quite some high sums. A single gold foil sandworm that is a reward card meaning you get it from  daily quest rewards or season end rewards is worth 35$ right now.

If you are still not entertained I am starting to feel sorry. But in a last effort to convince you why you should sell your car and buy a splinterlands NFT (DO NOT DO THIS! ONLY INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE!) I will show you how the game has grown in the past few weeks.

This is the metrics for new players the blue line shows the sign ups for the game and the red one shows the players who buy the 10$ spellbook to unlock the play to earn features of the game.

That adds up to roughly 25$ daily passive income. Now isn't that sweet? Of course when you start out there is no cards you own you just have your spellbook and start to grind for your daily and seasonal rewards. If you want to speed that up you will have to rent cards from other players to stay competitive. If you have enough cash you can of course buy your own set and it is cheaper that way in the long run.
