Hello everyone.
I slept in Saturday so the ramble is Sunday this week. Next week it will also be on Sunday as I plan to attend the July meeting of the MCAS. Those end up taking most of the day for me. I don't have anything in mind to buy or go after during the auction which is held after the meeting. I might visit the LEGO store before the meeting. If I do, it will be the first time I'm ever at a LEGO store. If they have the same stuff as lego.com they should have double points for Insiders and potentially some sale items.
I did build two LEGO sets this past week. Both were birthday themed. One was the Birthday Party Cake. The other was the Birthday Numbers set. 40815 is the Party Cake and 40807 is the Numbers. The Cake was 219 pieces while the Numbers set was 281 pieces. Each Number is an animal. I didn't realize this until I was building the set. It is the cooler set of the two. It was also really easy to build. The Cake wasn't difficult, the numbers was just easy. Each set had 5 bags. For the numbers it was 2 per bag. As for the Cake, they could have squeezed it into 4 bags.
I moved some of the Medaka fry into a tank. As of yesterday they were doing fine. If they continue to do fine today, I plan to move the rest into the tank on Monday. The tank also has Pygmy Cories in it. Every tank has Mystery Snails in it. I also plan to move more Guppies into a 10 in the living room. I have 3 10's in here and 3 in the living room. There are also 2 20's in the living room. One of the 20's house shrimp while the other 20 has some Goodieds in it.
Not sure what I will buy during the LEGO Insiders Days as well as the Amazon Prime Days. Both start on the 8th. Amazon ends on the 11th, while LEGO goes thru the 13th. Hopefully Amazon will have some of the items for scale modeling on sale. I've been waiting for Gaahleri to release their line of paints to decide on which brand of paints I will be getting. Also still need a Spray Booth and some other ancillary items related to the hobby. I understand that I won't be exclusively airbrushing, but it will be what I used to do the larger items. Brushes will be used for the finer details.
Tonight I will be having Chicken Breasts and French Fries. I tend to have Chicken two or three times a week. It mostly comes down to when I remember to set some out to thaw. I recently started putting the chicken into freezer bags. This makes it easier for me to package it for the freezer. It's also pretty easy to thaw. The French Fries I get from Walmart. They are frozen too. I plan to do the chicken first and then do the fries. Both need oven time and while the chicken needs less time, It rests better than fries do.
As for crypto, I'm still hodling. BTC is doing well. It seems to have locked in $100K for a floor. If it continues to hold that level, I could see it making $125K before the end of the year and establishing a new "floor" of $110K. I would love it to reach $250K or more by 2030. The $1million target seems a bit far-fetched. I'd love it to hit that target. I don't even have .2 of a coin. The higher it gets the better for me if/when I cash out. Having no income makes it difficult to time the cashing out. Currently I maintain everything with the insurance money from Mom passing away. SNAP benefits also help greatly. I don't even spend my monthly allotment for groceries, but it allows me to buy what I want each month.
Thanks for reading and thanks for tipping.
