Hello everyone.
On Thursday I got ready for an appointment I was sure was the 12th. It was a 6th follow-up with my heart Dr. I've had him since I had my thyroid removed. I saw him to make sure my heart was good enough to do surgery. Since I had that surgery, suffice it to say, my heart was good enough. I was a bit late Thursday but it didn't matter as I found out my appointment was for the 17th. The following Tuesday. I did find it odd that I hadn't had a confirmation phone call ahead of the appointment. However, I had it in my mind that the appointment was for the 12th. I had even checked the reminder card a couple of times. When I got home, I checked the card again. It was for the 17th. I don't know why I hadn't seen it earlier. Luckily, the trip wasn't wasted as I had combined it with a trip to Walgreens to pickup a prescription.
I built two LEGO sets this week. Surprisingly, neither are BrickHeadz. One is a Creator 3 in 1 and the other is from the Botanical line. For the 3 in 1, I built the main design which is an airplane. The Botanical set is the Plum Blossom set. Both sets went together rather easily. The plan was the easier of the two. It was a pretty straightforward build. The flowers on the Plum Blossom were the most difficult part. The last 3 builds were flowers and when I went to put the last piece on 2 of the flowers, another piece would come off. If anything was frustrating, it was that. They both look rather cool. The plane, almost makes me want to try a scale model plane. Almost.
I'm trying to wait until July to buy and airbrush/air compressor. Gaahleri is due to release their next air compressor and I think I want it. A lot will depend on its final specs and of course the price. Most of what they have produced appears to be quality and well priced. I do have other air compressors in mind if they delay it or it is out of my price range. They also have a line of paints. I have heard conflicting months on when they are due to be released. There are two brands of paints that I have in mind. Water-based acrylics are what I'm going for. An item I'm having a difficult time on is the spray booth. If I DIY it, I can save quite a bit of money that I will be spending on other products. The problem is that my DIY skills are lacking. I could stuff it up and end up wasting money. Since I have no income, wasting money is bad.
I continue to hodl my crypto. I don't think I've added to my holdings in over 2 years. Stuff goes down and stuff goes up. In the long run, the ups are more than the downs. Most of what I have is good stuff. Unfortunately, I don't even have 1/4 of a coin. Luckily, I do have it from around 2021. With it being over $100K and talk of it reaching $1M by 2030, Things look good for this frugal person who lives in a state with a lower cost of living. The house and car are paid for. All I have to pay are insurance and taxes. I also have monthly expenses.
Last night I went to bed having converted $8 to $38. When I checked today, the $38 had turned into $128. Being among the 4.3% of the people to correctly pick two outcomes, I 16X my $8 instead of 4.8X. The important thing is I find that activity entertaining. I will be able to continue longer thanks to the extra winnings.
I have one free swimmer from the Medaka mop. I do see several sets of eyes. It shouldn't be too much longer til I have more swimmers. I hope to get them to be large enough to put into a 10 Gallon tank. Then I just need to grow them out and get them to lay their own eggs. If I can do that, I will need to repeat the process. One gets a feeling of pride getting these living creatures to produce offspring.
That will do it for this week. Thanks to anyone who leaves a tip.
