Hello everyone. This week I'm getting a bit personal to start.
On Tuesday I was extra wobbly when walking. One of the side effects of having the stroke in early 2020 is that I've become wobbly when I walk. I started using a cane outside of the house sometime in late 2021. Most of the time when I get groceries I do a pickup order from Walmart. That way someone else walks around Walmart and shops. All I need to do is drive and when they bring the groceries out I pop the trunk for them and I roll down the window to confirm who I am and that I want everything in the trunk. When I'm seated I'm stable. That is how I'm still able to drive. I don't experience the wobbly feeling when I'm seated.
On Thursday I did a pickup order and even though I didn't feel extra wobbly, I did have a small stumble making the last trip into the house from the garage. I do have to steps to get into the house from the garage and it does help to be able to grab onto the doorway to get into the house. Bringing in two gallon jugs of Tea in my left hand and using the cane in my right, I was unable to grab onto the doorway. For some reason, I got unstable and fell over to my left. I dropped one of the two gallon jugs of tea and slowly fell to the left. This resulted in me bruising my left bicep and my pride. This is of course Saturday and the bruise is still there. It is sore to the touch so I don't touch it. I keep telling myself to be careful. I live alone and have no one to take care of me if I get injured. There is something inside me that makes me continue to do things I shouldn't. I don't make mistakes that often. I seem to "forget" to be careful sometimes and that is when I do make a mistake. Other than being wobbly when I walk, I don't "notice" that I've had a stroke.
In a little over two weeks F1 Manager 24 will release. I'm excited to Create A Team and see how that goes. A few days after the release of F1 will be the week beta of TEW IX with the release being in early August. I do plan to play that and see how things go. I do prefer the ficticious Cornelverse that comes with the game. Even though this is 2024, the Cverse will start in 2022. This is also the first time the game will have a real world calendar.
In late October or early November FM25 will release and I plan to play that. I do need to figure out where/who I'm going to play. Any suggestions for places/teams other than English teams would be appreciated.
I am watching the LoL portion of the Esports World Cup. I'm conflicted on watching it as it is taking place in Saudi and that place isn't known as the bastion of Civil Rights. Since it is only 6 BO3's and 1 BO5, I've been watching it. Parts of 4 days of my life doesn't seem too bad considering that I watch the F1 race when it is in Saudi.
