I was without internet from 6pm Thursday until it was fixed Sunday around 12:30pm. 

I basically found out that I need internet at all times. It brings me peace of mind. It keeps me occupied and somewhat distracted. I don't just sit and think about things. Living alone since mom passed away has taken a lot of adjusting to. I did live in the house with her. My father passed away in 2008. My brother passed away in 2021. There is no immediate family left alive. It is just me. I had a stroke in early 2020. The biggest impacts of the stroke are that I seem to be more emotional. Also, I hear myself differently than I really sound. Lastly, my balance when I am up and mobile is off. 

My voice is a bit different than what it was. Not sure if it is impacted by the stroke or if it is a result of me hearing myself differently. Every other person sounds "normal" to me. I do tend to stay seated as I don't have any balance issues when seated. This allows me to still drive. I only drive when I need to go to get groceries or visit a Dr. 

With the internet down, I tried to stay busy. The TV was a bit lackluster due to it being June. Most of the shows I watch are taking a break. The biggest difference was the 12 hours from waking up until 7pm when I normally watch TV. Also, I don't exercise on the weekend. So that 30 minutes wasn't occupied. Also, I was unable to watch the LCS and the LEC which both started back this week.

The biggest thing I learned is I really depend on the internet. Not sure that is healthy or not, but it is the truth. My cellphone provider is cheap and doesn't really work without the wifi I get from having internet. 

I'm super happy that the repairman came out yesterday. He got the internet working and he even improved my TV connection. Did find out that there was a bunch of "noise" and that they had actually disconnected me. I'm going to call today and get some compensation from them for being without service for 2.5 days.
