Yesterday my nephew turned 37. His father(my brother) passed away October 5th, 2021. This was his 2nd birthday since the passing. I wonder how much he thought about that or if it entered his mind. He himself is a father of an almost 3 year old daughter. When I type it out, it seems odd. It seems like it wasn't long ago when I was at college and got the call to go to the hospital for his birth. It was similar when my Mother and I got the call to travel to the hospital for his daughters birth. A lot has happened since then.

I did wake up super early today. However, I went to bed early last night. Got about 7 hours of sleep. When I get fresh air, it seems like it makes me get sleepy earlier than days I don't get fresh air. Getting fresh air usually happens when I go to town. Town is Walmart and sometimes Kroger. Walmart shopping usually includes a walk of close to a mile just by shopping normally. Maybe it is that activity that makes me get sleepy early. Either way, I went to bed early last night.

Dropped my phone going into Walmart yesterday. It is the first time I've had a screen get cracked on a smartphone. Now I see the need for a phone case. I do think if I had a phone case on the phone that it would have been fine. Luckily, the phone still works and it only cracked in the lower left corner. In a few weeks, I won't even notice it is cracked. I do plan to get a phone case even though the drop was totally preventable.

Watching the LPL on YT right now. Will watch the LEC later today as it is the last day of the single round robin for the Winter Split. The Top 8 make groups. Fanatic needs to defeat SK Gaming and then win a tie-break game against the loser of KOI versus Astralis to advance to Groups. I don't expect them to defeat SK. It is the 3rd game today. The 4th game between Mad Lions and G2 will see the winner get one of two Top 2 spots. Being in Top 2 lets you pick your first opponent in the Group Stage. It takes two wins to advance out of Groups into the playoff round. Groups are best of 3 matches. Playoffs are best of 5. The single Round Robin has been single matches.
