I believe the Midterm election shift toward the Blue was heavily fueled by the backlash against the AI industry.
The Red essentially granted AI absolute legal immunity—a disastrous mistake. The idea that "anything goes if it’s AI" was a dangerous loophole that should have been shut down immediately.
Why did they ever grant such blanket immunity in the first place? My guess: decision-makers simply had zero understanding of how AI actually works under the hood.
AI is, at its core, a probabilistic model. When a probabilistic system runs amok, it becomes completely uncontrollable by definition. This inherently makes AI an offensive-first tool. Relying on AI for cybersecurity defense is a fundamental structural flaw, it will always be overwhelmed by a vastly superior, AI-driven wave of attacks.
For defense, you need a deterministic model—a system that executes with 100% certainty, no matter what. That is precisely what Blockchain is.
The relentless wave of AI-driven data leaks and security breaches is simply the result of an absolute imbalance between offense and defense. But the tide is turning, and the defensive turn has arrived. Driven by regulatory shifts like the CLARITY Act, blockchain technology is stepping back into the spotlight as the indispensable security architecture.
Even in autonomous driving—where pure AI was hyped to solve everything—the AI models themselves ended up proving their own structural limits.
Certain critical systems cannot be left to probabilistic guesswork. They demand a deterministic, decentralized, and tamper-proof foundation. They should have been built on blockchain from the very beginning.
