I went to the Tectum site in order to educate myself and got lost in the amount of crypto-fluff that many crypto projects suffer from. It seemed to function as more of a deterrent rather than something that would make me go "hell yeah". Once you sift through haystack you will find that there is a bright shiny pin, Softnote/wallet, but not something that will take off as it currently stands. It is way too complex and jargonized for non-geek people to use. The underlying process needs to be invisible with a top layer as phone-like as possible. Four buttons should be more than enough.
- Balance - This has a sub button - Add Crypto
- Contacts
- Send - This has a sub button - Make Softnote
- Receive - A QR code reader needs to be integrated
The more recognisable it is to things people already use the more likely it will be adopted.
As a caveat There is no reason not to have an advanced view for people who are comfortable with crypto-geek-speak but the simple view must come first.
This is not a competition entry. Only so some people can comment.
