Speculation on Hive activity: Post Splinterlands migration

By Solominer | Solominer | 24 May 2020

There was some recent news that Splinterlands is coming to the Hive blockchain. About five days ago this was announced. With that news, I am curious how the blockchain activity will be affected. And how much higher our ranking will be on Blocktivity. If you do not know what that is, its a site that tracks how many transactions and other activity there is on any given blockchain.

Before dApps started leaving Steem to move over to Hive, we saw activity levels near a million bringing it in the top four blockchains. Though since the start of Hive, activity has been between 200-300k. I think this has alot to do with Splinterlands staying on the Steem blockchain.

Looking at steemd.com its easy to see most of the Steem blockchain activity is Steemmonsters aka Splinterlands activity. Making me think when this dApp moves, it will greatly increase Hives transactions. You can see Hive's activity on hiveblocks.com

So makes me wonder where we will rank once one of the biggest, if not the biggest dApp moves to the Hive blockchain.

Im guessing Hive will be close to a million operations a day. Right now we are a little over three hundred thousand operations a day on the Hive blockchain for reference. That would put the Hive blockchain far past Bitcoins daily transactions.

Let me know what you think the activity count will be.
