While I am a huge long term believer in Ethereum, right now, no one is doing better than Solana. They have come far closer to solving the blockchain trilemma (scalability, security, decentralization) than any other project, a huge reason their market cap has skyrocketed this year. Ethereum, right now, has gas fees so high that it renders anything but whale-level transactions infeasible. Along with everyday people not being able to send money cheaply to each on the Ethereum chain, NFT purchasing and trading also takes a huge hit. Unless you happen to have a CryptoPunk or a BoredApe laying around, the transaction costs for NFTs on the Ethereum chain make it wildly expensive and difficult to mint, buy, and sell NFTs. 

Enter Solana. 

In the recent months, as evidenced above, the Solana ecosystem has absolutely taken off due to the efficiency of the network, and it isn't going to stop there. With incredibly low gas fees, a great NFT system backbone in Metaplex, support from Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX, and a wealth of creators itching to get off of Ethereum, NFTs on the Solana chain have astronomical return on investment potential in the upcoming months. In this article, I'm going to lay out some of the most impressive upcoming NFT projects on Solana-and the ones that may finally have you riding in that Lambo.

Considering the fact that you're probably reading this article because you wanted to find the NFTs that would make you the richest, I'm going to start with the project that has the highest upside and lowest initial capital requirements of the five that I'm going to cover. That project would be InnerMind, an as-of-yet unreleased project that utilizes GAN technology to create, as evidenced above, wildly stunning visual pieces. GAN, or generative adversarial network, is a form of machine learning that learns from training data to create new instances of data that resemble the training data. First introduced in 2014 by Ian Goodfellow, currently Apple's machine learning director of Special Projects, GAN technology is now expanding into the NFT world, and InnerMind has a shot to be one of Solana's most successful projects that employ the technology. Rotating to a more traditional, Punk/BoredApe type of project that could see massive gains in the Solana sphere, we have SolanaMonkeys. The choice of animal was not unintentional; the monkey is a great symbol of the crypto and anti-establishment community, as people are known to "ape" their savings into certain projects with great communities built around them. In a very WallStreetBets-esque fashion, SolanaMonkeys encourages people to "reject humanity, return to monke". SolanaMonkeys has already released 5000 unique monkeys, with future plans to release a few more as its community-shared wallet uses decentralized governance of monkey-holders to determine future marketing plans and community events. Part of that community is game show host Steve Harvey, who recently purchased a SolanaMonkey and changed his Twitter profile to it. 

Next up, we have Abstratica. Similar to InnerMind, albeit without an animation aspect, Abstratica uses AI algorithms to generate abstract art pieces. 40% of Abstratica pieces come with no frame or reflection around the piece, but the other 60% come with frames and reflections that determine rarity. Investment wise, I like Abstratica as a long term hold. Being one of the first projects on Solana to implement AI generated imaging helped out their success and prestige as a project, as they currently hold an impressive price floor of 17 SOL. Another AI-powered project is next on the list. Frakt is a project that released 10,000 AI images and sold out, and currently have a price floor of about 5 SOL. What makes a Frakt such a good investment, however, has nothing to do with the intricate webs and orbs in the designs. What I love about Frakt is their upcoming launchpad, in which Frakt holders of a certain tier get access to discounted private sales of NFTs. The launchpad is only available to projects that use machine learning generative art, so Frakt holders only get access to high quality NFTs in the private sales. The discounts in those private sales have the potential to make any Frakt holder ridiculous returns, which is why I believe it's such a good idea to hold them. 

To close out this article, we have Geoms. I couldn't mention Frakt without mentioning Geoms, the brainchild of GenerativNFT that has an upcoming release slated on the Frakt Launchpad. The fact that Geoms are made with the tech required to even get on the Frakt Launchpad combined with the influence of the Frakt community behind their project gives me high hopes for the potential return on investment.
