What is Switchboard?
Switchboard is a permission-less, customizable, multi-chain oracle protocol for general-purpose data feeds and verifiable randomness.
I find they are a bit under the radar, but in my opinion they have a great potential.
Right now the market capitalization of Oracles is around 14 Billions, and in my opinion this team can provide a better service than PYTH. To understand better I have a few position open in liquidity pools and when these positions are using Switchboard as oracle I never encountered a problem, instead with some position that use PYTH I faced some problems (I wasn't able to open a position, and to close another one, and these problems are caused also by Solana congestions but not only).
Switchboard can be used with the following chain at the moment: Aptos, Arbitrum, Core, Eclipse, Solana, Starknet, Sui. And they just announced a collab with Monad and very soon it should be the time of Ethereum.
It's pretty clear they will launch a token and right now you can earn points called [X]. These points (probably) will converted in their token.
How can you earn [X]?
There are a few ways. Switchboard has launched a Zealy campaign (you can join here), and for reference the last Zealy campaign I did was with $ZEUS and I earned 250 USD doing the tasks.
Another way of earning [X] points is through opening a position on Kamino Finance that uses the Switchboard Oracle.
Some examples are:
- SOL - USDH
- HBB - USDH
- ORCA - SOL
- SAMO - SOL
- SAMO - USDH
- JUP - BONK
- BONK - SOL
- JTO - BONK
- BONK - USDH
- HNT - MOBILE
- BLZE - BSOL
If they have the Switchboard logo and do not appear here, they are still accruing [X] as well.
Other ways to earn [X] points is opening a position in Symmetry, buy a domain at https://alldomains.id/ and so on. Essentially if in a DeFi Protocol you see the Switchboard logo and you use it you earn the points.
