What is Boom?
Essentially a platform in an early access stage that allows the buy and sell of real products using cryptocurrency, with a twist!
What really sets Boom apart from other platform models pursuing similar function? The fact that it operates as a social platform that also allows the monetization of content, which pays out in crypto. Having this many layers of utility in combination with a new social platform model should spark interest in the community!

Once users create an account on the platform, an on-chain wallet is generated and linked to the account.
Users will have the option to sell physical products and digital assets such as NFTs.
These products may be displayed in a post which allows interactions; likes, comments, shares. Including the option to press "buy" and get redirected to the product checkout page.
For consumers looking to browse new or interesting products, Boom has scroll posts which are similar to the modern style of social media platforms Instagram, Facebook and X.
Overall the platform offers an all-in-one utility as a social media platform, marketplace and checkout.
The Pursuit for Innovation
Real world utility is crucial for the long term success and value, not only for the value of cryptocurrency, but for the Solana blockchain as a whole.
With Boom having a legitimate use case, regulators are more likely to be accepting of Solana blockchain technology, which could lead to wider adoption and integration into the traditional financial system. Real innovation thrives much beyond hype and speculation!
My Conclusion on Boom
I personally understand the model of Boom and the potential. This platform model idea isn't actually a first of it's kind as many instances of web 2 startups in similar fashion have attempted and failed due to competition such as facebook, twitter, instagram all having a larger outreach and influence. However, Boom is taking on the challenge of becoming the first to attempt this model on web 3.
While there hasn't been an exact platform model type fully executed that has gained influential amounts of traction on web 2, attempting this could render very different results within the crypto community!
I believe this rekindling of model type in collaboration with the pursuit of innovation and valiant effort in execution could be the spark needed to prime the market for investors and continue to fuel blockchain technology.
