Recycling / repurposing clothing is a great way to help towards reducing the amount of waste thrown into dumps (one truck full of clothing every second of the day is dumped in landfills or burned). These circular economy tees change the need for that to be happening.
100% organic cotton, made with a 50/50 split of organic cotton and recycled organic cotton these are t-shirts that once worn out, are designed to be returned. Then the recovered material will be turned into new organic cotton t-shirts. It is a constant closed loop that can repeat itself over and over and over...... You even get a 5GBP store credit for returning your items. It's a win/win system for everyone really, inlcuding the planet.
Of course, it is just a small company setting out to disrupt the way 'fast fashion' works, but it shows what is possible. It shows the big brands that overcharge for cheap quality items that there is an alternative. One that could help keep them in business longer, as it can help towards saving the planet. If a small British company can profit and succeed while making and printing their items from start to finish using only renewable energy, only organic cotton, soil safe inks, low waste printing and no animal derived products at all...... Then so can the big boys of fashion! Sure, it is a big change to make but they can do it if they really want to.
If ever there was a time to petition the big companies, bombard them with mentions, tags, emails and so forth, it is now. And it is about this subject. We all want a planet to live on, we all want clothes to wear. Without change, we'll have neither sooner rather than later.
