I am a huge fan of director Christopher Nolan, Inception being the only film I've ever paid to watch in the cinema twice. Not because it needed two viewings to understand but because I wanted to watch it on the big screen and just sit back and enjoy it the second time round, not worrying about how the plot worked. 

However I can't see myself doing that for his latest movie TENET, because I'll run out of money long before getting my head round the ridiculously complex use of time as a plot device. 

And it's a huge shame because just like Inception, the movie is spectacular. Explosions playing in reverse while actors move around in forward moving time on the same set is incredible to watch and as far as I'm aware, totally unique in filmmaking so far. And I say so far because I really hope Nolan will make a sequel in around 5 years time, which should be enough time for me to understand this one. 

If Inception was too complicated to be enjoyable for you I would recommend giving this one a pass. But if you like to be challenged by a movie, have a coffee beforehand, and pay attention, because the exposition comes thick and fast.
