Trump Running for Reelection: A Shield of Lies

Treat Trump like an American, Not a God.

When considering whether a previous President, such as Donald Trump, should face criminal charges and be treated like any other citizen, several compelling arguments can be made to support this stance:

1. Rule of Law and Equality: The foundation of a just and democratic society is the principle that everyone is equal before the law. No one, regardless of their position or status, should be immune to legal accountability for their actions. Granting immunity to a former President would undermine the rule of law and send a dangerous message that some individuals are above the law while others are not.

2. Deterrence: Holding a previous President accountable for potential criminal actions sets a strong deterrent for future leaders. It sends a message that abuse of power or criminal conduct will not be tolerated, regardless of one's position in government. This, in turn, can help foster a culture of responsibility and ethical conduct among public officials.

3. Preservation of Democracy: The United States is a democratic republic built on the principles of checks and balances. If former Presidents can evade accountability, it weakens the system's ability to hold leaders accountable for their actions. Upholding the rule of law and pursuing criminal charges when warranted helps safeguard the integrity of the democratic process.

4. Restoring Public Trust: Holding a former President accountable for any alleged crimes helps restore public trust in the justice system. When citizens witness powerful figures facing the consequences of their actions, it reinforces their faith that the legal system operates fairly and without bias.

5. Fairness to Victims: If there are legitimate claims of criminal conduct against a former President, it is essential to ensure justice for the victims involved. Ignoring potential crimes committed by a powerful individual would perpetuate a system where the well-connected can escape accountability, leaving victims without closure or recourse.

6. Judicial Independence: The pursuit of criminal charges against a former President showcases the independence of the judiciary from political pressures and influences. This demonstrates that the justice system can operate impartially, regardless of the defendant's status or political affiliation.

7. Precedent for Future Cases: The way society handles criminal charges against a former President can set a precedent for future cases involving high-ranking officials. Consistently applying the law to all individuals, regardless of their position, establishes a clear and just standard for handling such situations.

Treating a former President like any other citizen when facing criminal charges is a vital step in upholding the rule of law, preserving democracy, and promoting accountability for all members of society, regardless of their past positions of power.

Why does the Right Defend Trump's Criminality?

It is impossible to ignore how the rightist mindset views these criminal proceedings, but defending Trump at this point seems like a brainless endeavor, suitable only for people who have no regard for the rule of law. This is especially true when the rule of law conflicts with the logic of a cult-run ideological experiment, which is exactly what Trump is counting on. His cult.

Looking back from 2016 to now, the full-scale ideologically fused campaigning, unabated veiled racism, threats, and January 6th tell a tale of warning that Trump is unfit for the White House.

While rightist Trumpers ignore what January 6th could have become, most Americans are well aware of what Trump attempted to do. They walked away from his echo chamber of lies and falsehoods as soon as January 6th took place, and many more in 2016 did so well before he won his bid for President. What remains of the rightist world can be summarized by CMT ratings for songs that fit their mindset.

There are potentially millions of Trump supporters who may be willing to ignore every criminal charge brought against him, spinning the same narrative of a corrupt justice system and calling the DOJ a scam. However, for the majority of voters, Trump is an easy pass; they do not even consider him as a choice. The majority of Americans are not brainless rightists, although rightist media would love to make it appear he has a leg to stand on. The fact is, we all knew what he was going to do in 2020 if he lost, and we were right.

The End is Near, Cope

Rightists will soon have to face the consequences of what it means for Trump to believe he is above the law, only to be brought down to the Average Joe level and face accountability.

Undoubtedly, Trump will use his cult as a shield, but it won't be enough.

Nobody is above the law, including Donald Trump.

Those are the facts, and no matter what is said or done, Trump will have to face the rule of law.

No number of threats or Truth Social posts can change that. No Twitter account can alter the course ahead, and no country song can ever change the future. Trump deserves the justice that hangs over his head, and America deserves closure.

While his sycophantic supporters wish, pray, and even cheer his criminality, the idea of Trump escaping justice will never see the light of day.

Americans have already stocked up on popcorn.

We're ready for this and have been since he started running in 2016. We saw a crook, and the right saw their savior.

Let's face it, and come to terms with reality. The time for denial is over. It's time for accountability.

Or...

Cope.
