Where We Stand Is Not in Progress or True Adoption but in the Devolution of True Crypto Ethos
Say whatever you want. Paint these past two years in a glossy coat, call it whatever suits your narrative. Say whatever may save those few tokens, coins, or ETFs stuffed in your wallet from hitting zero—go ahead.
Dream up whatever; dream up someone to blame. And to be honest, there’s plenty of people we can pin things on. But no matter how much bullshittery we read or podcasts we tune into to warm our hearts, the fact remains: Those who are currently starting a potential 3rd World War are also the same people who wrangled the decentralization and freedom out of what crypto was—Satoshi’s peer-to-peer electronic cash system designed to bypass banks, borders, and bureaucratic overlords—and turned it into a money-making scheme for themselves.

But even that alone, as destructive as that force has become and how criminal it may be, that alone isn’t my greatest fear for our industry.
No, my greatest fear runs deeper than the suits and the warmongers who hijacked the revolution.
It’s the quiet, everyday surrender happening in every wallet and every group chat: the way we’ve let the ethos rot from the inside while cheering the next ETF approval or celebrity endorsement, pretending a handful of centralized exchanges and government-compliant stablecoins still represent “freedom.”
We traded immutable code for regulatory filings, peer-to-peer trust for KYC checkboxes, and the raw, unfiltered dream of financial sovereignty for whatever narrative keeps the charts green long enough to dump on the next bagholder. Keep polishing that turd if it makes you feel better—history won’t. The real devolution isn’t coming from the outside; it’s already won inside us.
I hate to be political, but what we’re seeing in our industry is no different from what we’ve witnessed with the Epstein list: a thick, suffocating cloud of denial and zero accountability.

Those vampires among us—the real parasitic evil that infects every industry—seem to have won.
They’ve dismantled the common-sense structure that once melded us together, swapping it for a toxic brew of lies, manipulation, and the stolen wealth of our own revolution.
We all saw the names drop. Billionaires, politicians, and so-called “philanthropists” exposed for their depravity, yet the machine kept humming—no real trials, no shattered empires, just more PR spin and “move along, nothing to see here.” Crypto’s version is identical, only the victims wear Lambos instead of private islands.
Think FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried getting house arrest vibes while retail bagholders ate dust; or the endless parade of VCs and exchange execs who preach “decentralization” on stage while quietly lobbying for the exact regulations that lock everyone else out.
The same untouchable class that buried Epstein’s client list is now burying on-chain transparency, turning Satoshi’s peer-to-peer dream into their personal casino. And we’re supposed to cheer the next ETF or stablecoin partnership like good little marks.
The worst part?
We let them.
We traded pitchforks for hopium threads and “number go up” memes, convincing ourselves that a few more compliant tokens would somehow resurrect the ethos. But the vampires don’t need another bull run—they already own the blood bank.
They’ve won the moment we stopped asking why the same faces who wrecked the old financial system are now the ones “saving” ours. The real Epstein list of crypto isn’t hidden in court docs; it’s right there in the poker faced backgammon tables and the donor lists. And until we stop pretending otherwise, this devolution isn’t just happening to us. It’s already complete.
The Real Industry: High-Integrity Developers and Communities
Crypto’s backbone has never been exchanges or political insiders. It is the thousands of open-source developers, long-term builders, and principled communities who ship resilient infrastructure: Ethereum’s scalability roadmap, Polkadot’s interoperability, Chainlink’s oracles, Solana’s throughput, and DigiByte’s multi-algorithm security.
We can walk away from compromised gatekeepers today. Deploy decentralized exchanges on battle-tested code (Uniswap forks, THORChain cross-chain swaps) where users retain custody.
Build compliant dApps on Ethereum, Cosmos, or Solana stacks, layering decentralized identity (Civic, SelfKey) for regulatory needs without custodial risk.
Form DAOs for transparent governance. Register as required (MSBs), audit via Certik or PeckShield, and publish on-chain proofs. Compliance without compromise is not only possible—it is already being done.

A Call to Coalition: Builders, Not Spectators
To every developer, project lead, and holder who still believes in blockchain’s founding promise: form the coalition now.
@GanjaScorenon X.com— (Betasyndicate.eth)—stands ready to help lead as head of community development and operations.
A veteran since the 2012 era, The Smash and Grab Forum founded BetaSyndicate (crypto analysis and community content platform), and has written extensively on legacy projects like DigiByte, launched compliant DeFi initiatives (CompFi ecosystem), and consistently exposed CEX manipulations and integrity failures.
Our decade-plus track record of honest advocacy makes him uniquely positioned to coordinate this shift.
Crypto Twitter (CT): Think. Act.
Start with a single-page signup site for coordination—open Discord/Telegram channels, shared resources, and transparent governance. We can build better—stronger, cleaner, without the tainted leadership that has repeatedly chosen personal enrichment over the technology.

History’s Lesson: One Idea, Rebuilt Stronger
Blockchain began with a single whitepaper and an idea: money without middlemen.
We can reignite that spark—better, more resilient, and truly decentralized.
Appeal to the elders: DigiByte (2014), whose founder Jared Tate publicly accused Coinbase and Binance of deliberate suppression as far back as 2019 and has championed uncompromising decentralization; Dogecoin (2013), powered by genuine community; Constellation Network ($DAG, 2017–2018), which built its own community-controlled DEX (PacaSwap) after facing CEX gatekeeping and opaque listing fees; and survivors from 2017–2020 such as Cardano, Chainlink, Uniswap, Polkadot, and THORChain—all of which have, through philosophy or direct action, rejected centralized control in favor of self-sovereign infrastructure.
Accounts and communities echoing this exact vision—@COMPFI_Official rallying foundational projects like DigiByte to “build our own world away from the scammers,” @Cobb_XRPL urging mass CEX withdrawals, and countless independent builders calling for boycotts post-Mar-a-Lago—prove the appetite is real.
Readers: Share your ideas below and across platforms. Circulate this article. A movement begins with one idea—and the courage of builders to act on it.
The criminality and conflicts strangling blockchain will not self-correct. The real industry—the developers, the long-term projects, the integrity-first communities—must reclaim the narrative.
We can do better. We will build better. Together.
