Recently we have seen that for a couple of weeks, CME Institutions are increasing their long positions on Bitcoin and decreasing their short positions. This story continues and now for the consecutive week, we saw the same action from the CME Institutions. In this article, we will look into recently available data regarding the CME Institutions' positions in the market, and some opinions around that data, so let's dive in...
Recent Picture

As we can see in the above chart that the Institutional long positions have risen significantly while there is a huge drop in the short positions. As shown, there are 528 additional long positions from CME institutions, which takes the total count of long positions to 8,748, and with the drop of 71 short positions, it counts only 50 short positions.
This data clearly shows that Institutional investors are aggressively building long positions. We can see the gap between total long positions and total short positions, that's mind-boggling! Initially, we doubted that it might be a trap, but it's been almost a month and these Institutions are building up their long positions continuously.

Conclusion
Well, it is possible that these Institutions are expecting some great news in the crypto space, or they are sure that this will be the local bottom and Bitcoin can only move up from here. They might be sure, but can we take it as a direct signal and blindly trade using it? Probably not! These Institutional traders are good with risk management, and that's what makes them better traders compared to most retail traders. So, it is important to go slowly in the market and be ready with your risk management plan.
