Happy weekend friends! Am pretty sure everyone is doing well with lots of seasonal gifts about your doors. For me, am locked in a corner looking to milk some sweet out of the market.  Have we had enough gains from the market?  Well I must tell, this pass week as been horrible, too many short liquidation  with market at the down side.  I heard a friend complain of giving back almost $8,000 gains to the market, gush!! $8k gains are enough to boost your confidence as a market participant.  That is the problem with people, not always thinking of the downside of  a trend. This is it, this is exactly what greed can cause to you and your overall portfolio PNL.  I understand it's natural about humans, when something is pleasant to us, we don't want it to ever stop because we enjoy the goings, but we try to put a stop to whatever  causes us pains immediately. Its very natural. Relating it to the market, we enjoy seeing the increase in our PNL that we forget to lock in our profits knowing that every trend { Be it down or up trend } isn't permanent. But we quickly try to get out of a losing position that may soon be reversing to our favour. This is it!  It should interest you to know that do matter the increase PNL in your position, they remain unrealised until  you lock in your gains.  That is why we are in this game man!! Those gains are what keeps us in the market. Giving them back to the market make it looks like we don't know what we were here for.   Imagine telling your wife that story Humm!! or calling your mama on phone to tell her you had a gift of $8k to give to her, but unfortunately you lost it Humm!! It sounds great right ? Am not trying to say  people don't make mistakes, all am trying to do is to challenge and provoke you into taking that gains when next you are in the money. Take them out, they are  what you worked for.  If you have the courage to  deploy your hard earned money into this volatile market, then you deserve to take some earnings out and make yourself and family happy this xmass season.  Much love guys!
