A simple way to create super secure software wallets for post-quantum blockchains (the abelian case)

In this post, we consider a simple way to create super secure software wallets for the post-quantum blockchain- abelian ( see [1]), using private dynamical passwords generators (DPGs). It will make you ready for the Q-day.

Step 1 is to download Abelian Lite Wallet (CLI) from [2] and extract all files to a folder on your computer.

Step 2 is to run it in the folder with this command:

./start_abewallet.sh --create

on Linux or macOS computers, or with this command:

abewallet –create

on Windows computers

Step 3 is to generate super strong passwords with your private DPG and select only two of them. In our example, we use the first and the second strings of symbols. You can use any combinations of symbols from 100 generated strings.

p1

Step 4 is to enter the selected passwords as the private and the public passphrases.

p2

Enter “no” to create your secure software wallet.

p3

Follow the instructions on the screen and enter “OK” to continue.

p4

Step 5 is to configure the wallet. See [3].

Now, you can use it with this command on macOS or Linux computers:

./start_abewallet.sh --walletpass=[your public passphrase]

or this command on Windows computers:

abewallet --walletpass=[your public passphrase]

For the reason that the private and the public passphrases are not stored in any place, it is not possible for hackers to find them on computers and other electronic devices. For the reason that they were generated by your private DPG, it is not possible to guess them or easy to find with brute force or dictionary attacks. This makes your post-quantum software crypto wallet very secure and ready for the Q-day.

This wallet has functionalities of sending, receiving abelcoins and also connecting to the mining pools (see [4]) to mine abelcoins.

Do not save the private and the public passphrases in any place. You can reconstruct them anytime, anywhere with your private DPG. You need to very securely store the seed and the mnemonic list of words in cases you need to restore your damaged wallet or to import it into new devices.
