What is RollerCoin Mid Summer Festival? UPDATED x4

Greetings again RollerFriends!

It's been a while since I've written anything about the RC season events. This is mostly because my energy is instead going to succeeding through this summer event in which each day's points require 80 game plays. This is not unmanageable, but it is a lot, and it does take up any free time I might have for writing. In between plays I have also been grinding the Task Wall to build up enough RLT to get a Pride month miner. And before that, a Scuba Box (or whatever they called it).

It seems like every time I complete one thing for this site, another thing pops up without any notice.

Today a few new banners have popped up onto the site: one Fourth of July miner (for 130RLT) and a "Mid Summer Festival" points-counting bar for what appears to be a mini-event.

The Miner

Clicking on this side-banner takes you to a landing site where you can purchase the "Declarator 407+" miner for 129.99RLT. Well, you could if you got there fast enough, but there were only 1,000 of them available.

That page also listed the text shown below, detailing how they want "every Roller" to be able to participate, which makes me think this miner is probably part of the Mid Summer Festival mini-event. (Because obviously 1,000 is not inclusive of "every Roller" and neither is the price tag.)

The Mini-Event

The top banner of the "home" page shows the progress bar for the mini event, and offers "more details" if you click on it:

From this we can see that there will be rewards similar to those found in the main Season events (like extra power). At first I thought that umbrella-drink was a small miner like the Raver Crab or Minerzaurus, but I think it's actually the indicator of your multiplier instead (details below).

Clicking for "more details" leads to this pop-up, which has a paucity of actual details:

Where are the Details??

There is a blog post that describes this event.

This event is less well-defined than the others, with no roadmap publicly posted (at least not that I've found so far). It does look like there are some high-level rewards, but it's not made clear how high, or whether they will be available for everyone.

This image on the blog post shows some pretty large miners, but doesn't detail how to achieve them:

For those who don't want to strain their eyes to read the details that have absolutely dreadful color contrast, they are as follows:

  • Sunset Beach (on the left)
    • 350,000 Gh/s (aka 350 Th/s)
  • Sugar-Melon (center)
    • 750,000 Gh/s (aka 750 Th/s)
  • Palm Beach (on the right)
    • 75,000 Gh/s (aka 75 Th/s)

These miners are pretty massive. If free-to-play players can achieve these wins, I will be shocked.

How long do we have?

Unlike the Pride and Scuba mini-events which lasted only one week, this one says it will span the entire first half of July (the 1st through the 14th).

How to Participate

There are two named ways to participate:

  • buy RLT
  • play minigames

For every 1 RLT you "purchase in the game" (I assume this includes exchange using the other currencies) you can get 15 points.

For the minigames points, you get 3 points for every time a minigame's difficulty level increases (for example, from level 1 to level 2). This requires three successful plays, so essentially you'll get 1 point for each time you win a game (as long as you win at least 3 times of the same game.

Each level requires 15 points to complete. If you're only earning by playing minigames, that's five minigame level-ups per event level. Since we'll already by playing our little butts off to achieve 80+ plays in a day for the Season event, I can only imagine that the mini-event levels will go by quite quickly.

UPDATE - I was wrong about the level requirements!

After reaching level 2 it is clear that my initial assumption that every level would take 15 points to complete was unfortunately incorrect:

The second level of the Mid Summer event requires seventy-five points to complete, and you earn an 8-cell rack for holding miners. That's the equivalent of 25 level-ups!

This leads me to so many questions.

  • How many points will the next level take?
  • Will they all be the same after a certain point, or will they continue to increase??
  • How many freakin levels are there???

I will do my best to update this section of the article with the series of level rewards and points required.

2nd Update

3rd Update

It looks like they'll be switching back and forth between temporary power (fewer points) and material goods (more points).

Here's the Level 4 reward:

And here's Level 5's:

Event Schedule (As I've Seen It So Far)
  • 15 points - 25 Th/s for 1 Day
  • 75 points - Metal Rack (8 cells)
  • 195 points - RollerArc S1 (450 Gh/s)
  • 75 points - 50 Th/s for 3 days
  • 150 points - 100x Common Fans
  • 750 points - RollerArc SX (1 Th/s)

Multiplier

It wouldn't be a RollerCoin event if you didn't have the ability to spend money to complete it faster, right?

For every loot crate you buy you will earn 25% more points, and extend your bonus for one hour. This works like the Computer levels: as long as you win a game within 24 hours of your last win you'll keep your computer, and as long as you buy a crate within 1 hour of your last purchase you'll keep your multiplier.

These are stackable up to 10x the points (aka, 10,000%).

I imagine that the highest level rewards are feasibly only reachable by those players who utilize the multiplier system to get super far up in the levels, but since they haven't disclosed the number of levels this is just speculation.
