SURPRISE: RollerCoin Season 5 Has Already Started

Good [insert time of day in Your timezone] Rollerfriends.

After an abbreviated announcement (as per hamster tradition) that contained some gratuitous surfing pixel art and only the single word "Tomorrow," RollerCoin has launched their Season 5 event: Beach Party, and I know what you're thinking:

Already??

Yes, just nine days after the conclusion of the Season 4 event they have decided that capitalism is the way for them, so they're going to capitalize on the changing of the seasons to release a new season.

The points-earning activities and number of levels for this event look very familiar:

There's a handy new progress bar to show you what five-level stage of the event you're viewing rewards for, and how much you've accomplished. One of the rewards is a hat for your avatar to wear. There doesn't seem to be an option to purchase hats at this point, but you can remove the 4th anniversary party hat, and the blog post shows a SuperMario/Pokemon style hat:

The Event Trophy is a Hula Girl:

And there's an additional 1GH miner to clutter up your shelves with that is a "Raver Crab" (he dances):

POINTS POINTS POINTS POINTS POINTS POINTS

For those of us keeping track (like me), that's still 29 achievable points per day without spending anything just by playing the right games and clicking on the social task buttons.

The daily check-in numbers also look similar, with 2, 5, 8,.... and so on.

But one thing that looks interesting and new is the number of days for which this event is set to run:

84 days!

This means that 84 days of no-spend tasks can theoretically earn you 2,436 points. 84 days of daily check-ins will be 1,620 points. So 4,056 (or completion of level 40!) without referrals, opening loot boxes, or spending 10RLT in a day. With those things, you could earn up to 6,492 points total! That's well beyond the 4,500 points required to complete all 45 levels (for 100 points each).

What can you get for free by completing Level 40?

  • Raver Crab (1gh/s) at Level 1
  • Bonus 150Th/s for 3 days at Level6
  • 600 Common Wires at Level 8
  • Rollerminer R4 (6Th/s) at Level 13
  • Bonus 200Th/s for 7 days at Level 16
  • 1,000 Common Fans at Level 18
  • Rollerminer R4 (6Th/s) at Level 23
  • Bonus 250Th/s for 14 days at level 26
  • The Golden Hula Girl Event Trophy at Level 28
  • The "Summer Vacation" room skin at Level 31
  • 400 Common Hashboards at Level 33
  • 20RLT at Level 36
  • Chupacabra (14Th/s) at Level 38

So this one's gonna be a relaxed one?

F--- No. I'll be busting my ass to complete whatever I can, and hoping to be able to score extra points so I can get a extra Chupacabra at Level 41!

If I'm super duper good and diligent, I might even be able to get the 85Th/s DJ Roller at Level 43!

But that might be too far. :(

What's today's mining rates Silf?

Still RLT. I feel like it's this all the time now, and the only reason to mine other coins is because you want those coins or to cash out. I don't know that it's worth continuing to change power around trying to benefit when it's clearly going to be RLT the majority of the time.
