As the second season event begins, it is implied that perhaps 1,579,556 registered RollerCoin users is a large audience.

My first ever article here on P0x (no relation to p90x) was borne out of incensed contrition for the outrageous difficulty of achievement posed by RollerCoin’s Season 2 event updates in comparison to the Season 1 event. I generally refrain from posting things on public platforms because I’m aware that most of what I think is unoriginal, unnecessary to state, and uninteresting to any kind of audience, but with this I was fired up and just HAD to Tell Someone How I Felt About It! I guess I wasn’t the only one moved to voice my frustration, because not 24 hours into this event the admins at RollerCoin have revealed not just one but two whole softenings of the challenge. One was implemented immediately, and the other was disguised as a “fact.”

Update 1: number of wins required to earn xp reduced

Apparently there was rioting in the hamster cages regarding the nigh-unachievable number of minigame wins required to earn the 4 available segments of 15xp. Though there hasn’t been a blog update about it thus far (you can check here), the Telegram channel sent out a Friday message to reduce the required number of wins from 80 per game to 40 per game for “the rest of the season.” Unclear whether it will shoot back up for season 3, or whether there will be a season 3.

Update 2: Crypto Hamster difficulty

Ten hours later, a second message was sent to elucidate the team’s position on some of the stickier changes. Given the header of “facts,” it bears a similar 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻 tone as their “it’s just a game” response to the reported outcry after they “halved” the network. The “facts” include

• the event is a gift to the players, but the sub-30 second casual platformer Games are still the important part 
• if you don’t like loot boxes, don’t buy loot boxes
• psst hey, you… you’re finally awake… you can use the RLT you win from boxes to buy more boxes
• No really… it’s possible to get a free miner without the XP of the “spend RLT” quest. (No guarantees made toward probability or likelihood.)

Then at the bottom of the message was this section of “facts” that are “unrelated” to the season 2 event:

So in case you didn’t catch that,

”Sorry lol you’ll never win CryptoHamster 80 times, so can you try to win it 40 times if we make it easier to win?”
