Time for Thoughts

By Sienzuf | sienzuf | 12 Aug 2020

After my first post on Publish, I like the site and ease of use. It's been a great experience with so many views and appreciate the likes.

My posts will be concise and straight to the point. I know people don't have the time to spend reading long posts or watching long videos and this brings me to the topic of this post "Time".

Time is an interesting topic as there only ever is "now". There is no past or future but only the moment right now. Many experts in this field will tell you that if you are living with anxiety then you are living in the future. If you are feeling depressed then you are living in the past. What this means is that your thoughts are in that period of time.

So your "now" thoughts are either in the past or in the future. That is to say, the thoughts which are in a loop in your mind. Awareness is knowing what your thoughts are and accepting them as they are. Not judging your thoughts but knowing your thoughts.

The simple exercise for the week is to stop at least 3 times a day (Morning, Afternoon and Evening) write down your thoughts. Maybe set an alarm on your device to remind you and write it all down. When I say write it all down I mean everything you can think of at that time which can include your feelings about what you were thinking.

Writing things down is a very powerful exercise. Feel free to share in the comments and I will do my best to reply to one and all.

Peace and Love
