Catch your dreams when you can. It's your subconscious talking to you. Try and remember your dreams and write them down as soon as you can. You will easily forget the details if you wait too long. One technique to remember your dreams is to have a glass of water before going to sleep. There is a chance you will need to wake up during the night to go to the toilet and this could assist you with seeing what you just dreamt.
There are many books out there which interpret dreams. What animals, colours, numbers and what other things you see mean. From all the different books I have read, there is a pattern to what is advised. For example, everyone in your dream is about you.
Listen to your subconscious mind and try to understand what is being communicated. Sometimes in dreams, the solution to your problem will appear but maybe completely left field. Another example is from the movie Lorenzo's Oil - both parents desperately trying to find a cure for their son who had adrenoleukodystrophy. The father has a dream which provides him with a solution to the problem the doctors were having. The father immersed himself in trying to find a cure and in his exhaustion fell asleep and the solution was provided.
Dreams can be quite bizarre. Sometimes you will never know what they meant, however sometimes they will provide you with universal knowledge. Write it all down, as you never know later in life that dream might make more sense then it did when you first had it.
