UTILITY AND ADOPTION
Some Meme tokens survived while one made it big because of a very rich man supporting it. I mean if he buys a coin, everyone can buy. The coin went on to be one of the top 10 and still holds its position.
And then came a series of Meme coins trying to emulate the successful one and trying their best to get the attention of the big guy.
One even called it the killer. It even made it big and at one point was seeming that it would dethrone the earlier one. They also had a strategy. They gave half their tokens to one of the most famous Dev’s behind the coin which actually gave use case to cryptocurrency.
The key word in the success of his coin was UTILITY.
Coming back to meme coins, the killer coin also realized that they need to develop some utility to survive and they started working on it.
A huge number of Meme coins have been launched since then and a very minute percentage have become successful (some only for a brief period of time)
People realized that these meme tokens actually offer nothing and are mostly pump and dump tokens.
There has to be some UTILITY for the token/coin to make it big or even survive.
The Devs’ soon started developing some Utility or another
Soon we saw a lot of tokens with utilities.
Though most utilities were only for namesake, some were good and had the potential to be successful.
But they also died soon.
Conclusion -
Just developing the utility is not going to help.
Adoption is the key. Without adoption it's as good as having no utility.
Firstly they have to understand how useful are their utilities. Just developing some utility which are too many in the market and feeling everyone is going to jump too their utility is also stupid.
Launch a token with a utility and it's going to be huge??? I don't think so.
There are some who are developing some buy/sell bots. The easiest one I think is a Swap. So many Devs’ develop a swap. But these are the basic swaps with bare minimum features. One can only swap a limited number of tokens but no other features like Liquidity farming, Bridge, Staking etc.
The initial investors get very excited as they feel they have hit their future jackpot and soon, the conversation, which luxury cruise the investor is going to buy, starts in their social media groups.
Too many of these bots and swaps around bro.
Let’s say the Utility is a good one. But is it going to make it big just because the utility is good. Chances are very less.
They need to work on a practical game plan on how the utility is going to be adopted.
Also, very important is, how is the utility is going to help the token. They can't be 2 different entities which look like one. If the utility is not directly connected with helping the token (Not just getting eyeballs...that's not going to work much) then it is useless for the investor in my opinion. I mean, if a utility is only getting eyeballs and the utility is not directly connected to the token, how is it going to help the token?
Posting this for the help of landers who may not have much experience and may just jump into such tokens.
I, myself, have made these mistakes many times.
