This Feeling

I hope you enjoy this story. Thanks for visiting! MAY TRIGGER THOSE WHO FEAR PARANORMAL!
It was a day like any other. As if any, was ever a sort of day. I was strolling the park when instantaneously, I was struck in the back of the head. As if, something lightweight had suddenly bounced off the back of my skull. I immediately came to a halt, turned my body a hundred and eighty degrees, to see who, or what had just hit me. To my surprise, there was nothing there. Not a single person, looking in my direction, I couldn't even see an object. I swear, that something had hit me. I still felt a slight pain it caused in the back of my head about two inches from my neck.

On this day, there was nobody here, not even the usual playful kid wandering in the alleyway.
I decided it was nothing and continued my journey. I strolled right through the park and crossed the street. There was an alleyway that I usually cut through to make it easier for when I decide to go on walks/jogs etc. There is a gas station directly across the street on the corner at the end of the alley. I looked both ways to cross that street. When suddenly, I felt that very same feeling in the back of my head. Only this time it happened as I got tapped. It felt like someone tapped me three times. I then stopped for a second, started turning around like I was going to respond to whoever tapped me. This time, when I turned around, there was a blackbird sitting on top of a dumpster. Which, for some reason flew away, not a moment sooner, than my eyes fixating on it. I was startled and nearly jumped out of my shoes, because I don't recall seeing it while I was passing. I thought to myself 'What a weird day'. I then laughed it off and continued home.

The Black Bird
I then proceeded, to cross the road near the gas station. I looked both ways to cross, no cars were coming, so I decided to cross. I saw that same crow from the alley, fly away from the alley, and land on top of a sign with the gas station's name on it. I was thinking 'I hope that thing won't fly down and maul me.' As if the size of the bird, could just swoop down, and fly back to its nest with me in its clutches. When I had crossed the street, I had walked past the gas stations sign. Turned right, down a road that leads to my cul-de-sac. I passed the gas station and walked about two blocks. I then headed left.

On this street, there is an old abandoned church.
White in color, the paint has faded for what I know has been at least ten or more years. It always creeps me out walking past it. Not that it’s a church and that churches scare me. It is more so the church's history of a priest who missioned there. The priest was a homicidal maniac. The story goes that a priest had murdered two nuns, and he did it brutally. He used his air compressed nail gun and nailed her to a makeshift cross. The other he took a dagger, that was part of the church’s history and sacrificed her. He claimed it was all for god, and that it was for the greater good. The police got notified by a by-passer who heard screaming from the church.

The police came, found the bodies and later convicted him while awaiting the trial, they put him in a mental ward for the criminally insane. Which later he was found guilty, and put to death, for two counts of murder/homicide.

The Priest
As I approached the sidewalk next to the church, I feel the tapping again. This time it was a lot harder and actually felt like somebody hit me, really hard and really fast, three times. I didn't know how to take this in. I turned around swinging. I swung three or four times before realizing that there wasn't anybody there. At this point, I just got the chills. I look over at the church and there was a man, that looked like a priest. Standing right in the doorway to the church holding a dagger, with a grin that stretched past his ears. Literally.
I immediately ran. I ran until I was only a few houses down from mine. I kept looking back, in fear of what might have been following me. I didn't see it after me. I thought I was in the clear. All of a sudden, I heard the blackbird cawing, looked in the direction from which it cawed. Then, seeing that it was flying right at me. I turned my head to avoid its talons. I started to feel it sweeping back and forth at my head, trying to what seems like tearing me apart. I went to back away. I stepped on what felt to be a rock. I started stumbling backward. I just couldn't seem to catch myself from falling. I stumbled one to two steps more before I fell. The place I fell, was about a foot into the street. I hurried and got up. I then ran to my home. I opened the gate. Didn't even close it. I ran up my five stairs to my door to my house. I swung the door open.
I was, now, completely in shock. When I had opened that door, the priest was there once again. The same one from the church. I almost shit a brick. I did a one-eighty and b-lined it right back through the gate. I ran to a neighbor’s house. I asked to borrow a phone. They said "Yeah. Come on in." I used their phone to call my parents. My parents answered, and I asked to stay a few nights with them. I continued to explain what had happened. They then agreed to allow me to stay with them for a few days.
Was it paranormal? Or just my imagination getting to the best of me? After I stayed three days at my parents’ house, I decided to go home. It was an eerie feeling at first going home. To say the least, I haven't seen the priest since that day.
