Shiba Inu announces it will be entering the metaverse with a new virtual universe and will be releasing plots of land for sale in the near future. While there is no official name, it is being referred to as the “Shiberse” for the time being and it will have an official name in the coming months. This could potentially be a huge project considering the increased popularity of the Shiba Inu coin in the past year. Roughly 1.1 million people hold it at the time of this writing and it was the most popular cryptocurrency in 2021. 

This all sounds amazing and it will be, just not yet. Land is not available at the moment and when it is it will only be available for holders of LEASH, the second token in the Shiba Inu Ecosystem. After the exclusive land grab is over, the remaining lands will be unlocked and available for purchase by the general public. 

We will have to wait and see what the future holds for the “Shiberse” and the metaverse in general. Estimates are placing the metaverse market opportunity at $800 billion by 2024 so it looks like it is here to stay.
