BREAKING: Crypto.com (CDC) has received a Wells notice from the SEC according to various sources within the industry. (source 1, source 2).

In response, CDC has launched a counter suit against the SEC.  In a blog post, CDC stated that "improper SEC enforcement actions are part of the process of operating a legitimate and licensed crypto business in the U.S." 

In a Twitter post, CDC CEO Kris Marszalek has confirmed that the company is suing the SEC. 

While other companies like Coinbase and Ripple have received Wells notices and suits from the SEC, none of the parties have taken counter-offensive action against the US government agency. Both lawsuits will prove to be exciting cases which may prove pivotal for the crypto industry in the years to come.
