It is a rather boring slasher but with an at least interesting plot.

In Hollywood, during a New Year's party on TV, the presenter/disc jockey receives a call from a guy who calls himself Evil.

Evil explains that every New Year's Eve, which means for the 6 different time zones of the United States, a "mean" girl will be killed - and she will be the last one on the list.
