Leo Finance - Does It *Really* Pay Out?

By SBenbow | SBenbow | 9 Apr 2021

Waaheeeyy... Today I was paid my first LEO tokens from Leo Finance.

Curiosity has now got the better of me to see what I can do with them.

I understand that I can "power up" and stake them for higher rewards on posts, etc and keep on supporting the Leo / Hive infrastructure.

But I am not sure how to change them to any currency (crypto or fiat) that I can withdraw and actually use in real life.

If anyone has done this and can help me, please post in the comments section below.  Or contact me on Leo Finance

So far I have used LeoDex to conver LEO to SWAP.HIVE (and back to LEO, and to SWAP.STEEM, and back to SWAP.HIVE). This is all well and good for trading purposes within the "Hive" (apart from a transaction fee every time). I also tried a withdraw using my Binance HIVE address and memo fields, but nothing transfered and the funds stayed in LeoDex.

I then went onto the Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/) website.

Apparently you can use the "withdraw" button at the top - but when I tried to withdraw a test amount it wouldn't let me change the username. I thought it was changing SWAP.HIVE to HIVE within my own account, but it went to "@honey-swap" instead.  I guess that I lost my 0.09 SWAP.HIVE test amount.

Does It Pay Out?  Is It A Scam?

So, can you actually withdraw anything to another wallet from the LEO / HIVE infrastructure? Is it a scam?

I understand that keeping the LEO / HIVE in the system helps liquidity, but you may as well call is "LEO DOLLARS" rather than USD$.

Or have I missed the point somewhere?

If anyone has recieved a payout and managed to convert it, then leave a comment - at least we will then know if it's possible and not a complete scam!

Update : 09/04/21 : I have managed to process a payout from Leo to Binance.  So it can definately be done.  It is not a scam - and I will be creating another post soon to show you step by step how I did it.  Follow me for further updates!

Hi, and thank you for reading my blog. I am a newbie at Crypto. Now that is out of the way I'd like to share what my goals are. They are very basic. 1) Understand what Crypto is and how it works 2) Understand how I can invest without being charged lots of fees to deposit, withdraw, or exchange currencies 3) Understand how volatile the market is, and whether it can be a good short or long term investment Hopefully my experiences will then be able to help other newbies understand more about Crypto!
