Hype, FUD, and FOMO are forms of terrorism

Dedicating my life to crypto, hopefully, one day will be able to quit my job and teach full time about it.
One of the most challenging subjects I come across while teaching is Hype, FUD, and FOMO.

No matter how hard I try to explain to people how good this tech is and how this is a great opportunity, still, many keep only being interested in its price in USD. Sometimes I blamed myself for not being good enough to teach them the right values. Maybe I screwed up a few times for not adapting to every single student individually. Now, I understand that many people can't get out of their boxes even after you show them facts about banks and the financial system being a scam. Maybe it's just a question of time till they understand. Perhaps it's even a question of giant egos not willing to admit the whole world lied to them.
Anyway, those people often ask me for advice when it comes to trading, which is fine. Trading is an important sector of the crypto space.
Probably the most important lesson about trading that I learned, and keep teaching, is to not search for and listen to price predictions. And, of course, the first things they get hooked to are Youtube traders and price prophets.
Now you can imagine what it makes me look like when I say to be careful and hodl while Youtubers predict large moves in the next few hours. And sometimes they are right. Just because you guessed a right move once in a while, doesn't make you a good trader. Simultaneously, in their eyes, my knowledge reaches new dips.

Well, the situational experience is the highest step in the learning curve. You can't understand what the carpenter does until you pick a hammer in your hand. The same goes for being a trader. You can't understand how the market is unforgiving until you lose some money. Or what exchange of value means until you sell too early. It's all part of the process of learning.

And here we come to the main topic of this article.
Even if we learn how to trade, the crucial difference between a good and a bad trader are the pieces of information we surround ourselves with.
The first and the most obvious point of failure are the sources you inform your self from. The algorithm doesn't work in your / our favor. The algorithm will show you first the most popular information. Usually, the most popular sources are the ones with the best title. They are even called "click-baits". The main goal of those reporters and content creators is to create traffic on their site or channel. They make a living by doing it. What is this to us? A bad source of information.
I still can't believe those creators say things like: "Bitcoin to 1M USD by the end of November 2020", and nobody calls them out for their words. The only one I see being called out is Mr. McAfee. But there are many more people that did equal damage to the crypto industry's reputation by shilling shitcoins and hyping potential gains.
Every content creator, journalist, reporter, or public speaker that spreads FUD, FOMO, and hype should be ignored, banned, and considered a terrorist!
The problem is that content creators are free to create any kind of content as long as it's legal. And the audience is free to choose if they want to watch, read, listen to this content, or not. But again, click-bait titles, catchy thumbnails, and the algorithm are making good content hard to find, while those bad content creators emerge wherever you look.
People are scared! People are losing their value!

I thought it was not a big deal. Who would watch a Youtuber scream into the camera for 10 minutes straight? Turns out, people are not as fanatic as I am to watch an hour-long podcast without any video, or a bad quality Zoom interview with an important person in the crypto space. Why would they when a Youtuber gives you everything you need to know in just 10 minutes? Simple instructions: "buy this super hot token, and sell it after 1 month when it reaches 1000x gains. Draw two resistance lines on the chart, and that's it. Easy profit.".
Well, wrong!

I saw that the problem was bigger than I thought when one of my best students told me: "I'm so confused. The more I understand, the less I know in what to invest." This comment opened my eyes. I told him: "Find a good coin, invest in it, and hodl. It's that easy." Then he explained how certain Youtubers were shilling some tokens that he invested in. The tricky part was to choose what to tell him. How to tell him to stop watching those YouTubers, and start reading and watching better stuff? Will I suffocate his desire to learn? Well, I told him to read about coins and only invest in those that satisfy core principles.

All those content creators that are spreading Hype, FUD, and FOMO are terrorists of the crypto space! They are confusing people. They are one of the reasons why crypto is losing its reputation among people.
Be careful what informations you absorb!

Thank you Satoshi!
