What inspired you to create your project? STEPN’s success? Maybe you were inspired by Pokémon Go before?

Oh no, our origin story comes way earlier than STEPN

The DEFY team has extensive experience in developing highly successful location based mobile applications, having previously launched the District Race app and created highly sought after white label fitness apps for large global companies. These apps have scaled to over 700,000 users globally and partnered with brands such as Apple, adidas, Redbull and MasterCard.

According to your introduction about the platform, DEFY is the first location based P2E game in the world. Please explain about the benefits of making the game a location based one. How does this structure improve the user experience of P2E mode? Did you conduct adequate research before introducing this structure to DEFY? If yes, did you see any drawbacks of P2E platforms that can be rectified by making those platforms location based ones?

So, we believe that to win in the M2E space, it’s critical we create a super fun game, that has long term playability. In our opinion, just rewarding people for tracking movement may run into issues. The location based part of our game is woven into a really engaging lore and universe, which has players exploring the world to hack Future Systems towers and steal their FCOIN

We’ve done a ton of research and have some of the best minds in the business as our advisors

As to how we can improve on existing models — for us the biggest focus is creating an economy that can be sustained long term by delivering value in different ways — not just a simple top down model

I already own the mask and have access to the alpha version of the game. While studying the roadmap, I found that there will be several types of masks, as well as the sale of lands. Considering the fact that the game is currently lag and I can’t collect tokens, I’m worried the question of the loss of value of my mask. Tell us about the types of existing and future masks, as well as how the value of masks that have already been minted will be maintained.

BenFair question. Since minting starting, the masks have been trading between 2–9x the mint price, so I would recommend you hodl those genesis masks. Token launch comes soon

As to the future mask series, I cant say too much as we’re making an announcement soon — however be assured the genesis masks will never be minted again and will always be the most desirable

Is this true? Can i consider this vesting to our alpha rewards?

Not that I am aware of?

Alpha rewards will not have a long vesting period and there will be liquidity on token launch

So, which kind of vesting you will have for alpha rewards? And will we need to pass any kind of KYC to withdraw our $DEFY?

Yes, all holders will need to do KYC via blockpass

And one last additional question. What are benefits for owning masks from Fantom Galaxy collaboration?

First one, they are more rare than the genesis class. However the earning potential is the same. We are working with the PG team to create some special in game items for holders as well as benefits within the PG universe as well

Hello, the Defy team.

Based on your tokenomics, funds that invested in the project at an early stage bought a token at a price 10 times lower than the price at the public sales round. The start of unlocking their tokens is expected six months after the IDO. Even if the token does not grow much during this time, but remains at the same level by the time of unlocking, they will already have x10. And their sales can put a lot of pressure on the price. How do you plan to protect the token price from avalanche sales of funds? What will motivate you to keep it for a long time?

The investors in the project have a long lock up period, with a cliff of either 12 or 18 months, with quarterly vesting over another 18 months. We have some of the longest investor vesting in the space. We have also chosen our investors wisely and said “no” to many interested parties.

If you look at the investors on our table, they all have a reputation for diamond hands.

Hello, I am from Ukraine and I have a mask. While testing the game, I had some questions about locations. When I went outside and broke the tower, my wallets appeared in such unexpected places that have nothing to do with roads, streets and other places where people walk. If I tried to collect them and miraculously get to the places where the dream fcoins are, then unfortunately I would just be killed (literally) by our military. Because my behavior would not seem reasonable to them. I could even paraphrase the direction of the game from move2earn to die2earn in my case. So my question is simple — Are you working on the mechanism that can remote wallets from dangerous and suspicious places to pedestrian zones?

The simple answer is yes, we are refining our location algorithm but as its based on public data sources its always going to be tough to catch everything

Polygon, the network used by DEFY, may take a little longer to produce the masks, especially during the first few hours due to the expected volume of transactions. With this specific point in mind, does DEFY plan to integrate other networks to address this issue? Why have you chosen Polygon to support the disruptive system you plan to create? What are your plans regarding the integration of multiple networks?

We are planning a multi chain future for the game

It was super important for us that we could create a platform where players can mint and transfer/trade items with minimal friction and cost

So far Polygon worked beautifully on last saturdays NFT mint

I read that Defy’s token launch will take place this late May. I also read that IDO and IEO will happen as one with it, and you want to give users the fairest experience for this event. Can you please share us when will this event will take place this May? Also, what platforms can we buy Defy tokens after the anticipated launchdates?
